USAUS Military contracts for FY11

NAVY

     Gen­er­al Dynam­ics NASSCO, San Diego, Calif., is being award­ed a $37,376,704 cost-plus-fee con­tract for the fit­ting-out avail­abil­i­ty of USS San Diego (LPD 22). Spe­cif­ic efforts include pro­gram man­age­ment, plan­ning, engi­neer­ing, design, liai­son, sched­ul­ing, labor and pro­cure­ment of inci­den­tal mate­r­i­al. This con­tract includes options which, if exer­cised, would bring the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to $134,470,993. Work will be per­formed in San Diego, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2014. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site, with two offers received. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00024-12-C-2400).

     Cor­rec­tion: Con­tract award­ed Sept. 26, 2011, to K.O.O. Con­struc­tion, Inc., Sacra­men­to, Calif., (N62473-09-D-1655) for $12,161,316 should have indi­cat­ed that the com­pa­ny was a small business. 

AIR FORCE

     Cubic Defense Appli­ca­tions, Inc., San Diego, Calif., is being award­ed a not to exceed $31,435,144 firm-fixed-price con­tract for approx­i­mate­ly 105 air­borne sub­sys­tems, par­al­lel and ser­i­al umbil­i­cals, and bal­last, ground subsystems:� trans­port ground sub­sys­tem with live mon­i­tor, con­trol dis­play units, portable ground sub­sys­tem, remote range unit, main­te­nance boot flash mod­ule, trav­el and engi­neer­ing and tech­ni­cal man­age­ment sup­port and pro­gram man­age­ment. This con­tract sup­ports for­eign mil­i­tary sales to Aus­tralia (37 per­cent). AAC/EBYK (Range Instru­men­ta­tion Sys­tems Branch), Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8678-12-C-0104).

     Mesotech Inter­na­tion­al, Inc., Sacra­men­to, Calif. is being award­ed a $14,904,304 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract to pro­cure the Fixed Base Weath­er Obser­va­tion Sys­tem; an inte­grat­ed sys­tem of mul­ti­ple weath­er sen­sors and data automa­tion com­po­nents designed to con­tin­u­al­ly mea­sure the con­di­tions of the envi­ron­ment and for­mu­late avi­a­tion sur­face weath­er reports at mil­i­tary instal­la­tions and oper­at­ing areas in sup­port of flight safe­ty and force pro­tec­tion. ESC/HBAK, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8730-12-D-0001)
