USAUS Military contracts for FY11

AIR FORCE

The Boe­ing Co., Long Beach, Calif., is being award­ed a $258,335,789 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a fixed-price award fee con­tract to exer­cise the fis­cal 2011, fourth quar­ter, option con­tract line items. The basic C‑17 Globe­mas­ter III sus­tain­ment part­ner­ship con­tract pro­vides total sys­tem sup­port respon­si­bil­i­ty to Boe­ing for the C‑17 weapon sys­tem to include pro­gram man­age­ment, sus­tain­ing logis­tics, mate­r­i­al and equip­ment man­age­ment, sus­tain­ing engi­neer­ing, depot lev­el main­te­nance, engine man­age­ment, long term sus­tain­ment plan­ning, Air Logis­tics Cen­ter part­ner­ing sup­port, depot acti­va­tion, and sup­port of the Air Force and For­eign Mil­i­tary Sale oper­a­tors of the C‑17. Aero­space Sus­tain­ment Direc­torate Con­tract­ing Sec­tion, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8614-04-C-2004-PO0548).

Alloy Sur­face, Ash­ton, Pa., is being award­ed an $11,276,665 firm-fixed-price con­tract for MJU-50/B impulse car­tridges. This infrared coun­ter­mea­sures decoy con­sists of an alu­minum car­tridge case purged with nitro­gen and con­tain­ing a pay­load of stacked spe­cial mate­r­i­al ele­ments, which react with air. OO-ALC/GHGKA, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8213-11-C-0045).

ARMY

BAE Sys­tems Ord­nance Sys­tems, Inc., Kingsport, Tenn., was award­ed a $63,340,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This award pro­vides fund­ing for the Area A to Area B Facil­i­ty Relo­ca­tion Project at Hol­ston Army Ammu­ni­tion Plant. Work will be per­formed in Kingsport, Tenn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 31, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Rock Island, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (DAAA09-98-E-0006).

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was award­ed a $38,640,344 firm-fixed-price with cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract-line-item-num­ber con­tract. The award is for the fis­cal 2011 U.S. Patri­ot Advanced Capa­bil­i­ty pro­duc­tion require­ment for five Patri­ot Advanced Capability‑3 four-pack mis­siles (20 mis­siles). Work will be per­formed in Grand Prairie, Texas; Lufkin, Texas; Cam­den, Ark.; Chelms­ford, Mass.; and Ocala, Fla., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 30, 2014. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand-Red­stone, Avi­a­tion and Mis­sile Com­mand Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W31P4Q-11-C-0001).

U.S. TRANSPORTATION COMMAND

AAR Air­lift, Cam­den, N.C., is being award­ed a $48,814,136 task order for fixed wing air­craft, per­son­nel, equip­ment, tools, mate­r­i­al, main­te­nance and super­vi­sion nec­es­sary to per­form pas­sen­ger and car­go air trans­porta­tion ser­vices. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan and will start July 1, 2011 to be com­plet­ed by May 31, 2012. This con­tract was a com­pet­i­tive acqui­si­tion with two bids received. U.S. Trans­porta­tion Com­mand Direc­torate of Acqui­si­tion, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (HTC711-10-D-R016).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Bell Heli­copter Tex­tron, Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, was award­ed a firm-fixed-price, basic order­ing agree­ment con­tract with a max­i­mum $8,183,667 for blade assem­blies. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is Navy. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Jan. 31, 2015. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Avi­a­tion, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPRPA1-09-G-004Y-5786).

NAVY

Lock­heed Mar­tin Mis­sion Sys­tems and Sen­sors, Moorestown, N.J., is being award­ed a $7,680,000 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-03-C-5115) for man­age­ment and engi­neer­ing ser­vices to main­tain and mod­i­fy as nec­es­sary the design of DDG 51-class com­bat sys­tem com­part­ments and top­side arrange­ments, in sup­port of pro­gram exec­u­tive offi­cer Inte­grat­ed War­fare Sys­tems. Work will be per­formed in Moorestown, N.J. (37 per­cent); Bath, Maine (25 per­cent); Pascagoula, Miss. (22 per­cent); San Diego, Calif. (6 per­cent); Wash­ing­ton, D.C. (5 per­cent); Nor­folk, Va. (3 per­cent); Port Huen­eme, Calif. (1 per­cent); and Syra­cuse, N.Y. (1 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity.
