NAVY

iRo­bot Corp., Bed­ford, Mass., is being award­ed a $230,051,146 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of man trans­portable sys­tem (MTRS) pro­duc­tion sys­tems, depot lev­el repair parts, spare kits, depot repair ser­vices, parts sup­ply, train­ing, engi­neer­ing enhance­ments, con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment, and approved acces­sories. The MTRS is a small robot­ic vehi­cle used by explo­sive ord­nance dis­pos­al tech­ni­cians to con­duct remote recon­nais­sance, ren­der safe, and/or dis­pose of explo­sive devices. Work will be per­formed in Bed­ford, Mass, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by April 2015. Con­tract funds in the amount of $305,960 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Indi­an Head Divi­sion, Indi­an Head, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00174-11-D-0013).

Syg­nos, Inc.*, San Diego, Calif., is being award­ed a max­i­mum amount $30,000,000 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty job order con­tract for repair, main­te­nance, alter­ation and minor con­struc­tion of var­i­ous facil­i­ties at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendle­ton and Naval Weapons Sta­tion, Fall­brook. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for small to medi­um, mul­ti-trade repair, main­te­nance, alter­ation and minor con­struc­tion of var­i­ous facil­i­ties and struc­tures with­in the con­tract scope and spec­i­fied in the North Amer­i­can Indus­try Clas­si­fi­ca­tion Sys­tem of 236220, “Com­mer­cial and Insti­tu­tion­al Build­ing Con­struc­tion.” Work will be per­formed in Ocean­side, Calif. (95 per­cent), and Fall­brook, Calif. (5 per­cent), and the term of the con­tract is not to exceed 60 months, with an expect­ed com­ple­tion date of April 2016. Con­tract funds in the amount of $5,000 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via the Navy Elec­tron­ic Com­merce Online web­site, with 15 pro­pos­als received. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, South­west, Res­i­dent Offi­cer In Charge of Con­struc­tion, Camp Pendle­ton, Ocean­side, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N62473-11-D-0608).

Raytheon Co., Tuc­son, Ariz., is being award­ed a $17,731,000 fixed-price incen­tive-fee mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-09-C-5305) for incor­po­ra­tion of pre-pro­duc­tion mate­ri­als and sup­port for SM‑6 Block I fis­cal 2011 all up rounds pro­duc­tion. Work will be per­formed in Tuc­son, Ariz., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by June 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton Navy Yard, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Rolls-Royce Corp., Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., is being award­ed a $9,751,647 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract (N00019-10-C-0020) to exer­cise an option to pro­cure three low pow­er engine repairs and 11,247 engine flight hours. Work will be per­formed in Oak­land, Calif. (70 per­cent), and Indi­anapo­lis, Ind. (30 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Novem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $9,751,647 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

ARMY

Gen­er­al Atom­ics Aero­nau­ti­cal Sys­tems, Inc., Poway, Calif., was award­ed on April 8 a $173,458,076 fixed-price-incen­tive-fee con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion in sup­port of the Gray Eagle unmanned air­craft sys­tem. Work will be per­formed at Poway, Calif., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of April 30, 2014. One bid was solicit­ed and one received. Hon­ey­well Inter­na­tion­al, Phoenix, Ariz., was award­ed on April 8 a $114,891,669 firm-fixed-price con­tract for total inte­grat­ed engine revi­tal­iza­tion pro­gram year five require­ments to pro­vide parts and engi­neer­ing ser­vices for the over­haul of 774 auto­mo­tive gas tur­bines, 1500 engines, or equiv­a­lents. Work will be per­formed at Annis­ton, Ala.; Phoenix, Ariz.; Greer, S.C.; and Rocky Mount, N.C., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 31, 2011. GM GDLS Defense Group, LLC, Ster­ling Heights, Mich., was award­ed on April 8 a $37,173,386 firm-fixed-price con­tract for a con­tract revi­sion of the not-to-exceed amount and oblig­at­ed amount for the pro­duc­tion cut-in effort of the Double‑V hull into 178 Stryk­er vehi­cles. Work will be per­formed at Lon­don, Ontario, Cana­da, and Annis­ton, Ala., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 29, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed and one received.
