Chugach World Ser­vices, Inc.*, Anchor­age, Alas­ka, is being award­ed a $32,144,232 mod­i­fi­ca­tion under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract (N40192-09-D-9000) to exer­cise option year two for hous­ing oper­a­tions and main­te­nance and change of occu­pan­cy main­te­nance ser­vices at Naval Base Guam and Ander­sen Air Force Base Guam. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for man­age­ment and hous­ing oper­a­tions to main­tain and repair fam­i­ly hous­ing units, bach­e­lor hous­ing units, Navy Gate­way Inns and Suites (NGIS; for­mer­ly Vis­i­tors Quar­ters), and pro­vide any ser­vices, main­te­nance and change of occu­pan­cy main­te­nance in both vacant and occu­pied fam­i­ly hous­ing units, bach­e­lor hous­ing units, and NGIS units. The total con­tract amount after exer­cise of this option will be $65,647,778. Work will be per­formed in var­i­ous Naval and Air Force hous­ing areas on Guam, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Jan­u­ary 2012. PKL Ser­vices, Inc.*, Poway, Calif., is being award­ed a $15,918,581modification to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract (N00421-09-C-0023) to exer­cise an option for orga­ni­za­tion­al lev­el main­te­nance on the fol­low­ing Marine Corps air­craft plat­forms: AH-1W, UH-1N, CH-53D/E, and CH-46E. Work will be per­formed in Camp Pendle­ton, Calif. (30 per­cent); New Riv­er, N.C. (25 per­cent); Iraq/Afghanistan (22 per­cent); Mira­mar, Calif. (18 per­cent); and Kane­hoe Bay, Hawaii (5 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Feb­ru­ary 2014. Con­tract funds in the amount of $15,918,581 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Gen­er­al Elec­tric Avi­a­tion, Lynn, Mass., is being award­ed a $7,890,519 order against a pre­vi­ous­ly issued basic order­ing agree­ment (N00019-09-G-0009) for the F404 com­po­nent improve­ment pro­gram to include engi­neer­ing and engine sys­tem improve­ment sup­port. Work will be per­formed in Lynn, Mass., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Decem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

Rolls-Royce Corp., Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., was award­ed a $203,039,359 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion to cov­er sus­tain­ing ser­vices includ­ing logis­tics sup­port, pro­gram man­age­ment sup­port, engi­neer­ing ser­vices, spares and tech­ni­cal data in sup­port of the C‑130J propul­sion sys­tems which include the AE 2100D3 engine and R‑391 pro­peller sys­tems. This mod­i­fi­ca­tion is to exer­cise option four, year five. At this time, $49,557,415.99 has been oblig­at­ed. WR-ALC/GRBKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8504-07-D-0001 0500). 

The Boe­ing Co., Wichi­ta, Kan., was award­ed a $134,000,000 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will pro­vide for the heavy main­te­nance for 2011 VC-25 air­craft 9000. The Spe­cial Air Mis­sion air­craft pro­vide air trans­porta­tion for the pres­i­dent and is one of two assigned to the 89th Air­lift Wing, Andrews Air Force Base, Mary­land. At this time, $86,826,594 has been oblig­at­ed. 727ACSG/PKB, Tin­ker Air Force Base, Okla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8106-09-C-0005 P00023). 

The Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Mari­et­ta, Ga., was award­ed a $69,804,474 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion to cov­er sus­tain­ing ser­vices includ­ing logis­tics sup­port, pro­gram man­age­ment sup­port, engi­neer­ing ser­vices, repairs, spares and tech­ni­cal data in sup­port of the C‑130J unique sys­tems. This mod­i­fi­ca­tion will exer­cise option two, years six through eight. At this time, $19,977,826 has been oblig­at­ed. WR-ALC/GRBKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8504-06-D-0001-P00015).

The McDon­nell Dou­glas Corp., a whol­ly-owned sub­sidiary of the Boe­ing Co., Long Beach, Calif., was award­ed a $17,205,250 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will incor­po­rate the land­ing gear over­haul long lead scrap replace­ment mate­r­i­al for the C‑17 Globe­mas­ter III sus­tain­ment part­ner­ship con­tract. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WLMK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8614-04-C-2004 P00385). 

The Raytheon Co., Tus­con, Ariz., was award­ed a $15,000,000 con­tract for the Advanced Medi­um Range Air-to-Air Mis­sile tech­ni­cal sup­port for sys­tems engi­neer­ing, small soft­ware enhance­ments, test sup­port, main­te­nance and mod­i­fi­ca­tion of spe­cial test assets, sup­port to the Navy hard­ware in the loop sim­u­la­tion, air­craft inte­gra­tion, and oth­er tech­ni­cal engi­neer­ing require­ments. At this time, no mon­ey has been oblig­at­ed. AAC/EBAK, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8675-11-D-0050).

The Boe­ing Co., Seat­tle, Wash., was award­ed an $11,800,000 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which pro­vides fund­ing for the annu­al C‑32A and C‑40B/C sus­tain­ing engi­neer­ing (Jan. 1, 2011 through Dec. 31, 2011). At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WLVK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (F33657-01-D-0013).

Dig­i­tal Man­age­ment, Inc., Bethes­da, Md., was award­ed a $9,912,741 con­tract. This effort is for research, and to exe­cute the adop­tion of trust­ed com­put­ing tech­nolo­gies through a mul­ti­fac­eted and sus­tained oper­a­tion that com­bines both tech­nol­o­gy and com­mu­ni­ca­tions strat­e­gy and exe­cu­tion. This effort will research, pro­vide analy­sis, sur­vey, devel­op, test, demon­strate and pro­vide detailed tech­nol­o­gy roadmap devel­op­ment, archi­tec­ture Inves­ti­ga­tion, and strate­gic tech­ni­cal out­reach of cur­rent and emerg­ing trust­ed com­put­ing tech­nolo­gies being devel­oped with­in gov­ern­ment, com­mer­cial, and aca­d­e­m­ic sec­tors. At this time, $565,000 has been oblig­at­ed. Air Force Research Laboratory/RIKE, Rome, N.Y. is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8750-11-C-0075).

DRS Sus­tain­ment Sys­tems, Inc., St, Louis, Mo., was award­ed a $8,896,882.80 con­tract to pro­vide the Tun­ner 60K Loader, an air car­go transporter/loader designed to trans­port and load up to six pal­lets with a total com­bined weight of 60 thou­sand pounds. It has a high reach capa­bil­i­ty, up to 8.5 feet, and can inter­face with mil­i­tary and civil­ian reserve fleet air­craft. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. WR-ALC/GRVKBA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8519-04-D-006‑0074).

Ell­wood Nation­al Forge Co., Irvine, Penn., was award­ed a $8,693,745 con­tract for 85 each bomb live units (BLU)-113 emp­ty bomb bod­ies that will then be shipped to McAlester Army Ammu­ni­tion Plant to be loaded, assem­bled and packed with required filler. It is a hard­ened 4,500 pound class pen­e­tra­tion bomb used on mil­i­tary air­craft B‑2A, B‑52H and F‑15E air­craft. The BLU-113 has a steel cas­ing about 1‑inch thick, filled with 625 pounds of the explo­sive, tri­ton­al (filler). BLU-113 is a war­head used in theg­Guid­ed bomb unit (GBU)-28 A/B and B/B. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. OO-ALC/GHGKA, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8213-11-C-0026).

ARMY

Raytheon Inte­grat­ed Defense Sys­tems, Andover, Mass., was award­ed on Jan. 28 a $51,532,541 firm-fixed-price, lev­el-of-effort, cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for engi­neer­ing ser­vices for the Phased Array Track­ing Radar Inter­cept On Tar­get Mis­sile. Work will be per­formed in Andover, Mass.; Burling­ton, Mass.; El Segun­do, Calif.; El Paso, Texas; Huntsville, Ala.; Nor­folk, Va.; and Tewks­bury, Mass., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Jan. 31, 2012. This award will pro­vide for research, devel­op­ment and val­i­da­tion of struc­tur­al health mon­i­tor­ing tech­nol­o­gy and method­ol­o­gy, which can be used for cur­rent and future mil­i­tary air vehi­cles. This award will pro­vide for an air­man train­ing com­plex (ATC) — North Cam­pus for dor­mi­to­ry ATC 1 and dor­mi­to­ry ATC 2 under small busi­ness pack­ages.
