Afghanistan — Afghan, U.S. Special Forces Destroy Insurgent Munitions

Afghan Nation­al Army Com­man­dos, Com­bined Joint Spe­cial Oper­a­tions Task Force — Afghanistan and oth­er Coali­tion forces removed a large cache of explo­sive mate­r­i­al dur­ing a two-day oper­a­tion in Pan­jawi dis­trict, Kan­da­har province Sat­ur­day.

Dur­ing the joint oper­a­tion between Afghan, U.S. and Coali­tion forces, more than 500 pounds of explo­sive mate­r­i­al was found along­side oth­er impro­vised explo­sive device mak­ing mate­ri­als. All mate­r­i­al, includ­ing a motor­cy­cle rigged with explo­sives, was destroyed by the com­bined force.

Dur­ing the joint oper­a­tion, more than 500 pounds of explo­sive mate­r­i­al was found along with tools for man­u­fac­tur­ing impro­vised explo­sive devices. All mate­r­i­al, includ­ing a motor­cy­cle rigged with explo­sives, was destroyed by the com­bined force.
