USAUS Military contracts for FY12

AIR FORCE

Raytheon Co., McK­in­ney, Texas, is being award­ed a $191,009,635 firm-fixed-price con­tract to pro­cure Mul­ti-Spec­tral Tar­get­ing Sys­tem (MTS) Mod­el B tur­ret and high def­i­n­i­tion elec­tron­ic units, MTS con­tain­ers, and shop replace­able units. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is McK­in­ney, Texas. Work is to be com­plet­ed by Sept. 30, 2012. ASC/WIIK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8620-11-G-4050).

Northrop Grum­man Tech­ni­cal Ser­vices, Hern­don, Va., is being award­ed a $52,848,888 fixed-price-incen­tive-firm, cost-reim­burse­ment, and firm-fixed con­tract for the pod upgrade pro­gram. This pro­gram is for non recur­ring engi­neer­ing ser­vices for engi­neer­ing man­u­fac­tur­ing devel­op­ment phase, deliv­ery of four pro­to­type upgrad­ed pods and two each mod­i­fied sets of sup­port equip­ment, pro­duc­tion of low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion upgrad­ed pods as a basic con­tract option with quan­ti­ties from one to 42. Low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion sup­port equip­ment will be a basic con­tract option man­u­fac­tur­ing devel­op­ment phase, con­tract options for pro­duc­tion lots in quan­ti­ties from one to nine­ty. Along with pro­duc­tion pods, the con­trac­tor shall pro­duce pro­duc­tion pod sup­port equip­ment kits in quan­ti­ties from one to 12. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is Warn­er Robins, Ga. Work is to be com­plet­ed by April 19, 2017. WR-ALC/GRWKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8540-12-C-0004).

NAVY

Lock­heed Mar­tin Mis­sion Sys­tems and Sen­sors, Owego, N.Y., is being award­ed a $126,512,656 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed advance acqui­si­tion con­tract (N00019-11-C-0020) to pro­vide for the pro­duc­tion and deliv­ery of 24 mis­sion avion­ics sys­tems and com­mon cock­pits for the MH-60R for the Roy­al Aus­tralian Navy (RAN) under the For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales Pro­gram. In addi­tion, this mod­i­fi­ca­tion defin­i­tizes the pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed advance acqui­si­tion con­tract to a firm-fixed-price con­tract for RAN MH-60R sys­tems. Work will be per­formed in Owego, N.Y. (58 per­cent); Farm­ing­dale, N.Y. (25 per­cent); Wood­land Hills, Calif. (4 per­cent); Ciu­dad Real, Spain (3 per­cent); East Syra­cuse, N.Y. (2 per­cent); Vic­tor, N.Y. (2 per­cent); Everett, Wash. (1 per­cent); Strat­ford, Conn. (1 per­cent); St. Charles, Mo. (1 per­cent); Ben­ning­ton, Vt. (1 per­cent); Lewisville, Texas (1 per­cent); and var­i­ous loca­tions through­out the Unit­ed States (1 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in March 2017. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Barn­hart Bal­four Beat­ty, Inc., San Diego, Calif., was award­ed a $9,154,517 mod­i­fi­ca­tion on March 23 to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price task order under a mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N62473-10-D-5407) to exer­cise option item 1, which pro­vides for the design and con­struc­tion of the Marine Avi­a­tion Logis­tics Squadron 39 Indi­vid­ual Equip­ment Issue Ware­house at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendle­ton. The total con­tract amount after exer­cise of this option will be $18,308,263. Work will be per­formed in Ocean­side, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Jan­u­ary 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, South­west, San Diego, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

VRC, Inc., San Anto­nio, Texas, is being award­ed a $6,882,359 firm-fixed-price, def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy sup­port ser­vices in sup­port of the Cen­ter for Home­land Defense and Secu­ri­ty, Naval Post­grad­u­ate School. This con­tract con­tains two one-year option pro­vi­sions, which, if exer­cised, will bring the con­tract val­ue to $20,910,845. Work will be per­formed at Mon­terey, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed April 30, 2015. The applic­a­ble Oper­a­tions, Main­te­nance, and Navy funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site, with one offer received in response to the solic­i­ta­tion. The NAVSUP Weapon Sys­tems Sup­port, Mechan­ics­burg, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00104-12-C-Q525).

Niking Corp.*, Wahi­awa, Hawaii, is being award­ed $6,739,442 for firm-fixed-price task order 0003 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N40192-10-D-2802) for design and con­struc­tion of the Guam Strike Clear Water Rinse Facil­i­ty at Ander­sen Air Force Base. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for the design and con­struc­tion of a clear water rinse facil­i­ty con­sist­ing of a rein­forced con­crete pump­house, a 14 inch rein­forced con­crete pad, a below ground rinse water sup­ply tank, a valve con­trol box, and a waste water sed­i­men­ta­tion col­lec­tion tank. Work will be per­formed in Yigo, Guam, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Octo­ber 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Six pro­pos­als were received for this task order. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, Mar­i­anas, Guam, is the con­tract­ing activity. 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Ten­nier Indus­tries*, Boca Raton, Fla., was award­ed a firm-fixed-price con­tract with a max­i­mum $98,616,757 for mod­u­lar sleep sys­tem and com­po­nents. Oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Ten­nessee. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. There were four respons­es to the Web pro­pos­al. Type of appro­pri­a­tion is fis­cal 2012 Defense Work­ing Cap­i­tal Funds. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Sept. 30, 2013. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM1C1-12-D-1012).

DEFENSE THREAT REDUCTION AGENCY

Ari­zona State Uni­ver­si­ty, Tempe, Ariz., is being award­ed a four-year, cost-no-fee reim­burse­ment con­tract. This con­tract, with acu­mu­la­tive val­ue of $30,718,054, con­sists of a base peri­od with 12 months of per­for­mance, val­ued at $9,057,732; and one option peri­od with 36 months of per­for­mance, val­ued at $21,660,322. Fis­cal 2012 research, devel­op­ment, test, and eval­u­a­tion funds have been com­mit­ted for the base year of this con­tract. The objec­tive of this con­tract is for Ari­zona State Uni­ver­si­ty to devel­op a pro­to­type of a chip-based, field­able health mon­i­tor­ing sys­tem for the warfight­er. The device will be able to detect changes in the warfighter’s health for ear­ly detec­tion of infec­tion. This pro­pos­al was select­ed in response to a chemical/biological broad agency announce­ment that is adver­tised on a con­tin­u­al basis. Per­for­mance will take place at Tempe, Ariz. The Defense Threat Reduc­tion Agency is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (HDTRA1-12-C-0058).
