ARMY

Siko­rsky Air­craft Corp., Strat­ford, Conn., was award­ed on April 28 an $84,599,548 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the con­ver­sion of sev­en air­craft to the Colom­bian Min­istry of Defense to include pub­li­ca­tions and air­craft war­ran­ty. Work will be per­formed in Strat­ford, Conn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Nov. 30, 2014. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Avi­a­tion & Mis­sile Com­mand, Army Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (DAAH23-02-C-0006).

Lock­heed Mar­tin Inte­grat­ed Sys­tems, Elli­cott City, Md., was award­ed on May 2 a $49,107,559 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the oper­a­tional sup­port ser­vices for the Joint Impro­vised Explo­sive Device Defeat Orga­ni­za­tion. Work will be per­formed in Arling­ton, Va.; Afghanistan; and Iraq, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of May 10, 2013. Four bids were solicit­ed with three bids received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91CRB-08-D-0024).

Glob­al Inte­grat­ed Secu­ri­ty (USA), Inc., Reston, Va., was award­ed on April 28 a $42,000,000 option-includ­ed con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the recon­struc­tion secu­ri­ty sup­port ser­vices through­out Afghanistan in sup­port of the Army Corps of Engi­neers. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 11, 2012. Six bids were solicit­ed with six bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Mid­dle East Dis­trict, Win­ches­ter, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W917PM-08-D-0001).

ACISCC, Wilm­ing­ton, Del., was award­ed on May 2 a $33,000,000 firm-fixed-price indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the prop­er­ty repair, main­te­nance, minor con­struc­tion and asbestos removal abate­ment. Work will be per­formed in south­ern Afghanistan, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of April 18, 2012. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net, with 18 bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Afghanistan Engi­neer­ing Dis­trict, Kab­ul, Afghanistan, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W5J9JE-10-D-0024).

ADS, Inc., Vir­ginia Beach, Va., was award­ed on April 28 a $21,253,335 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of 136,350 per­son­al armor sys­tems for ground troop hel­mets for Afghanistan. Work will be per­formed in Vir­ginia Beach, Va., and Hebron, Ohio, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of March 1, 2012. The bid was solicit­ed through the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site, with three bids received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91CRB-11-C-0111).

ARAO-FELLGROUP, JV, New York, N.Y., was award­ed on May 2 an $18,572,391 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the con­struc­tion of the Afghan Nation­al Army, Region­al Hos­pi­tal. Work will be per­formed in Lagh­man Province, Afghanistan, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 30, 2013. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net, with 17 bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Kab­ul, Afghanistan, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W5J9JE-11-C-0095).

Northrop Grum­man Sys­tems Corp., Linthicum Heights, Md., was award­ed on April 29 a $16,732,693 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of vehi­cle inter­com com­mu­ni­ca­tion, vehi­cle test­ing, ten per­cent spares, and a con­trac­tor-pro­vid­ed field ser­vice rep­re­sen­ta­tive for the Sau­di Ara­bi­an Nation­al Guard. Work will be per­formed in Linthicum Heights, Md., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Nov. 31, 2013. One sole-source bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Com­mu­ni­ca­tions-Elec­tron­ics Com­mand, Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W15P7T-11-C-H609).

Alatec, Inc., Huntsville, Ala., was award­ed on April 28 a $13,480,400 firm-fixed-price, lev­el-of-effort con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the per­son­nel exper­tise, analy­sis skills, stud­ies, mod­el­ing, sim­u­la­tion and infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy ser­vices for White Sands Mis­sile Range. Work will be per­formed in White Sands Mis­sile Range, N.M., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of May 2, 2012. Four bids were solicit­ed with four bids received. The U.S. Army Mis­sion & Instal­la­tion Con­tract­ing Com­mand, White Sands Mis­sile Range, N.M., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91QF4-07-D-0004).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Hawthorne Ser­vices, Inc., Charleston, S.C., was award­ed a firm-fixed-price con­tract with a max­i­mum $12,547,360 for fuel ser­vices for the oper­a­tion, main­te­nance, secu­ri­ty and safe­ty of gov­ern­ment avi­a­tion fuel at gov­ern­ment-owned, con­trac­tor-oper­at­ed facil­i­ties, and con­trac­tor-owned, con­trac­tor-oper­at­ed facil­i­ties. Oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Ken­tucky. Using ser­vice is Army. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is April 30, 2031. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SP0600-11-C-5103).

Rohrer Broth­ers, Inc.*, Sacra­men­to, Calif., was award­ed a fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, indef­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract with a max­i­mum $8,058,704 for fresh fruit and veg­eta­bles sup­port for north­ern Cal­i­for­nia and north west Neva­da. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and U.S. Depart­ment of Agri­cul­ture. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Oct. 3, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM300-11-D-P089).

NAVY

Com­mu­ni­ca­tions and Pow­er Indus­tries, Palo Alto, Calif., is being award­ed a $7,920,954 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for trav­el­ing wave tubes and asso­ci­at­ed data. The $7,920,954 is the total dol­lar amount if the max­i­mum quan­ti­ties are ordered. The trav­el­ing wave tubes are high pow­ered ampli­fiers for the Ship Mis­sile Decoy Launch­ing Sys­tem, MK-53 (NULKA). This con­tract com­bines pur­chas­es for the Navy (94 per­cent); and the gov­ern­ment of Cana­da (6 per­cent) under the For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales Pro­gram. Work will be per­formed in Palo Alto, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by May 2016. Con­tract funds for the first deliv­ery order in the amount of $387,660 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Crane, Ind., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00164-11-D-GR97).
