USAUS Military contracts for FY11

NAVY

MSP Avi­a­tion*, Bloom­ing­ton, Ind. (N00164-10-G-WS42); Ranger Enter­pris­es*, Springville, Ind. (N00164-10-G-WS49); Gar­ri­ty Tool*, Indi­anapo­lis, Ind. (N00164-10-G-WS50); Star­win Indus­tries*, Day­ton, Ohio (N00164-10-G-WS51); Mar­i­on Tool and Die*, West Terre Haute, Ind. (N00164-10-G-WS52); and Ener­gy Dynam­ics*, Mach­es­ney Park, Ill. (N00164-10-G-WS53), were award­ed on Feb. 16 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tracts for air­craft machine shop require­ments in sup­port of E/A‑6B and E/A‑18 air­craft, includ­ing parts for both air­craft and air­craft test sys­tems. The max­i­mum esti­mat­ed com­bined total of all six con­tracts will not exceed $49,900,000. The con­tract will have an order­ing peri­od of five years and each order will be com­pet­ed among the six awardees. Work will be per­formed in Bloom­ing­ton, Ind.; Springville, Ind.; Indi­anapo­lis, Ind.; Day­ton, Ohio; West Terre Haute, Ind.; and Mach­es­ney Park, Ill. Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Feb­ru­ary 2016. Funds in the amount of $2,000,000 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties and Navy Elec­tron­ic Com­merce Online web­sites, with six offers received. Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Crane, Ind., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics — Elec­tric Boat Corp., Gro­ton, Conn., is being award­ed a $19,046,251 firm-fixed-price mod­i­fi­ca­tion under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-09-C-4417) for prepa­ra­tion and accom­plish­ment of the fis­cal 2011 dry-dock­ing con­tin­u­ous main­te­nance avail­abil­i­ty of USS Alexan­dria (SSN 757). The con­trac­tor will per­form advance plan­ning, design doc­u­men­ta­tion, engi­neer­ing, pro­cure­ment, ship-checks, fab­ri­ca­tion and pre­lim­i­nary ship­yard work and/or any oth­er work nec­es­sary to pre­pare for the accom­plish­ment of, as well as accom­plish all the nec­es­sary alter­ations, repairs, main­te­nance, mod­ern­iza­tion, test­ing and rou­tine work required to return the mis­sion ready sub­ma­rine to the fleet. Work will be per­formed in Gro­ton, Conn., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by July 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $19,046,251 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

ARMY

Clark/Hunt, JV, Tam­pa, Fla., was award­ed on Feb. 15 a $29,620,597 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This award is a mod­i­fi­ca­tion of an ear­li­er con­tract, and will pro­vide for the inte­gra­tion of design and bid build con­tract at 100 per­cent design pro­duc­tion point. Work will be per­formed in Fort Sam Hous­ton, Texas, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of May 2013. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net, with two bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Fort Worth, Texas, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W9126G-08-C-0036).

GM GDLS Defense Group, LLC, JV, Ster­ling Heights, Mich., was award­ed on Feb. 15 a $15,592,043 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for Stryk­er retro­fit lev­el-of-effort man hours, mate­r­i­al, oth­er direct costs, and trav­el. Work will be per­formed in Kan­da­har Air Field, Afghanistan; Shel­by Town­ship, Mich.; Seat­tle, Wash.; Annis­ton, Ala.; and Colum­bus, Ga., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of March 31, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army TACOM LCMC, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-07-D-M112).

Dynet­ics, Inc., Huntsville, Ala., was award­ed on Feb. 15 an $8,973,878 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of frag­men­ta­tion sleeve assem­blies; M60 Hell­fire mis­sile mock­ups; steel frag­men­ta­tion sleeve assem­blies; and long-lead alloy mate­ri­als. Work will be per­formed in Fort Eustis, Va., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 14, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Avi­a­tion & Mis­sile Com­mand, Avi­a­tion Applied Tech­nol­o­gy Direc­torate, Fort Eustis, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W911W6-08-D-0011).

AIR FORCE

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Infor­ma­tion Tech­nol­o­gy, Inc., Fair­fax, Va., was award­ed a $23,000,000 con­tract for the ruggedi­zed portable main­te­nance aids able to inte­grate direct­ly with the F‑22 fight­er jet for main­te­nance pur­pos­es. At this time, $3,003,494 has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/PKEIE, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8604-11-D-7000).

Boe­ing Co., Hunt­ing­ton Beach, Calif., was award­ed a $10,227,879 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will increase the ceil­ing on con­tract line item num­ber (CLIN 0020 and CLIN 0021) and revise the state­ment of objec­tives for the Fam­i­ly of Advanced Beyond Line of Sight Ter­mi­nals Pro­gram through Sept. 30, 2013. At this time, zero dol­lars have been oblig­at­ed. ESC/HNSK, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (F19628-02-C-0048; P00188). 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Allied, JV*, Hialeah, Fla., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $20,000,000 firm-fixed-price, sole-source, total set-aside, prime ven­dor con­tract for med­ical and sur­gi­cal instru­ments and sup­plies. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is Navy. There was orig­i­nal­ly one pro­pos­al solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Oct. 16, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM2DS-11-D-0002).

AMFUEL Cell and Coat­ed Fab­rics, Mag­no­lia, Ark., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $18,253,263 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty, require­ments con­tract for air­craft fuel tanks. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is Air Force. There were orig­i­nal­ly two pro­pos­als solicit­ed with two respons­es. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Feb­ru­ary 2016. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Avi­a­tion, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPRWA1-11-D-0003).

Tru­man Arnold Cos.*, dba TAC Air, Amar­il­lo, Texas, is being award­ed a max­i­mum $14,875,268 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for fuel. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and fed­er­al civil­ian agen­cies. There were orig­i­nal­ly 115 pro­pos­als solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is March 31, 2015. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SP0600-11-D-0046).
