Lock­heed Mar­tin Cor­po­ra­tion, Mis­sion Sys­tems & Sen­sors of Moorestown, N.J. was award­ed a $107,000,000 con­tract which will pro­cure one pre­lim­i­nary design for the Space Fence Pro­gram. The Boe­ing Com­pa­ny of Seal Beach, Calif. was award­ed a $12,204,718 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion, a GPS IIF Space Vehi­cle cal­en­dar year 2011 option exer­cise. ARMY

Tex­tron Marine & Land Sys­tems, Slidell, La., was award­ed a $42,480,499 firm-fixed-price con­tract Jan. 21, 2011. The award will pro­vide for the test­ing of 23 medi­um armored secu­ri­ty vehi­cles, as well as 50 vehi­cles being pro­duced for the Afghanistan Nation­al Army. Work will be per­formed in Slidell, La., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 31, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army TACOM LCMC, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-11-C0114). Keenan Ft. Det­rick Ener­gy, LLC, Colum­bia, S.C., was award­ed a $21,332,954 firm-fixed-price con­tract Jan. 21, 2011. The award will pro­vide for con­di­tioned elec­tri­cal, chilled water and steam to the Nation­al Inter­a­gency Bio-Defense Cam­pus. Work will be per­formed in Fred­er­ick, Md., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 31, 2016. Three bids were solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Med­ical Research Acqui­si­tion Activ­i­ty, Fort Det­rick, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W81XWH-06-C-0359).

Phyl­way Con­struc­tion, LLC, Thi­bo­daux, La., was award­ed a $13,852,340 firm-fixed-price con­tract Jan. 21, 2011. The award will pro­vide for the con­struc­tion of a first enlarge­ment of an exist­ing lev­ee at the West­wego to Har­vey Canal Hur­ri­cane and Storm Dam­age Risk Reduc­tion Sys­tem. Work will be per­formed in Har­vey, Jef­fer­son Parish, La., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 21, 2011. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net with sev­en bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, New Orleans Dis­trict, New Orleans, La., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912P8-09-D-0046).

Avon Pro­tec­tion Sys­tems, Inc., Cadil­lac, Mich., was award­ed to $10,879,106 fixed-price-incen­tive con­tract Jan. 24, 2011. The award will pro­vide for a total of 36,400 M50 masks and 9,000 M51 masks. Work will be per­formed in Cadil­lac, Mich., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of May 15, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Edge­wood Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W911SR-08-C-0042).

Raytheon Com­pa­ny, Huntsville, Ala., was award­ed a $7,802,701 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract Jan. 24, 2011. The award will pro­vide for an Inte­grat­ed Air and Mis­sile Defense Plug-and-Flight A‑Kit Design Def­i­n­i­tion for the devel­op­ment of future A‑Kits that inte­grate gov­ern­ment fur­nished equip­ment IAMD B‑Kits. Work will be per­formed in Huntsville, Ala., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 28, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Avi­a­tion & Mis­sile Com­mand, Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W31P4Q-10-C-0167).

Sci­ence and Engi­neer­ing Ser­vices, Inc., Huntsville, Ala., was award­ed a $7,663,563 firm-fixed-price con­tract Jan. 21, 2011. The award will pro­vide for 141Spon­son-Mount­ed For­ward Look­ing Infrared A‑kits, 35 Spon­son-Mount­ed For­ward Look­ing Infrared B‑kits and 10 Imag­ing Sys­tem Support/Purge Kits for the UH-60. Work will be per­formed in Huntsville, Ala., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of March 31, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. The U.S. Army Avi­a­tion and Mis­sile Com­mand, Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W58RGZ-09-D-0130).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Exxon­Mo­bil Fuels Mar­ket­ing Com­pa­ny, Fair­fax, Va., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $29,663,452 fixed price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for tur­bine fuel. Oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance are Texas and Louisiana. Using ser­vice is the Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy. There were orig­i­nal­ly three pro­pos­als solicit­ed with two respons­es. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is April 30, 2011. The con­tract­ing activ­i­ty is the Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy, Fort Belvoir, Va. (SP0600-11-D-0475).

The Boe­ing Com­pa­ny, Rid­ley Park, Pa., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $11,731,384 firm fixed price, sole source con­tract for cylin­der assem­blies. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is the Army. There was orig­i­nal­ly one pro­pos­al solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Jan­u­ary 31, 2015. The con­tract­ing activ­i­ty is the Defense Logis­tics Agency Avi­a­tion, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala. (W58RGZ-04-G-0023 order ZB08). 

Siko­rsky Air­craft Cor­po­ra­tion, Strat­ford, Conn., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $6,120,000 fixed price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, sole source con­tract for alter­nat­ing cur­rent gen­er­a­tors. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is the Army. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Sep­tem­ber 28, 2012. The con­tract­ing activ­i­ty is the Defense Logis­tics Agency Avi­a­tion, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala. (N00383-06-G-006F order ZB36). 

NAVY

Sodex­ho Man­age­ment, Inc., Gaithers­burg, Md., is receiv­ing a $13,804,729 mod­i­fi­ca­tion (P00091) to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price incen­tive con­tract (M00027-02-C-0001) to extend ser­vices to pro­vide food ser­vices to the Marine Corps and man­age and oper­ate their mess halls in the east­ern region of the Unit­ed States for the peri­od of Feb. 1, 2011 through March 31, 2011. The exten­sion is required pend­ing the award of a Request For Pro­pos­al num­ber M00027-10-R-0001, for the estab­lish­ment of a new sub­se­quent con­tract. This mod­i­fi­ca­tion does not include any work that is out­side the scope of the orig­i­nal con­tract. Con­tract year’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (five year base peri­od and three option peri­ods) and the four month exten­sion of ser­vices total $638,040,435. Work will be per­formed in Jack­sonville, N.C. (40 per­cent); Par­ris Island, S.C. (20 per­cent); Quan­ti­co, Va. (15 per­cent); Wash­ing­ton D.C. (5 per­cent); Arling­ton, Va. (5 per­cent); Nor­folk, Va. (5 per­cent); Have­lock, N.C. (5 per­cent); and Beau­fort, S.C. (5 per­cent); and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by March 31, 2011. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Region­al Con­tract­ing Office (South­east), Marine Corps Base Camp Leje­une, N.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Cana­di­an Com­mer­cial Cor­po­ra­tion, Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Land Sys­tems – Cana­da, Ontario, Cana­da, is being award­ed a $ 7,887,549 firm fixed priced mod­i­fi­ca­tion under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5028) for pro­cure­ment of 691 win­dow armor upgrade kits for Mine Resis­tant Ambush Pro­tect­ed (MRAP) vehi­cles. Work will be per­formed in Sel­ma, Ala. (80 per­cent) and Lon­don, Ontario, Cana­da (20 per­cent), and work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Octo­ber 2011. This con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion was a sole source pro­cure­ment. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Han­ke Con­struc­tors*, Wentzville, Mo, , is being award­ed a $7,774,346 firm-fixed-price con­tract for con­struc­tion of the Naval Oper­a­tional Sup­port Cen­ter train­ing facil­i­ty at Fort Custer, Bat­tle Creek, Mich. The pro­posed new con­struc­tion will con­sist of a new two sto­ry assem­bly hall, class­rooms, med­ical exam rooms, con­fer­ence room stor­age, unit con­fer­ence coun­sel­ing, crew’s lounge, admin­is­tra­tive areas, recruit­ing, and park­ing. Work will be per­formed in Bat­tle Creek, Mich., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Jan­u­ary 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly nego­ti­at­ed via the Navy Elec­tron­ic Com­merce Online web­site with 16 pro­pos­als received. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, Mid­west, Great Lakes, IL, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N40083-11-C-0010).

Lock­heed Mar­tin, Mis­sion Sys­tems and Sen­sors, Moorestown, N.J., is being award­ed a $6,568,270 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-09-C-5101) to pro­cure the secure voice sys­tem as part of the Aegis weapon sys­tem Aegis mod­ern­iza­tion upgrades. The secure voice sys­tem is for DDG 53, CG 60, CG 62, Sur­face Com­bat Sys­tems Cen­ter, Aegis Train­ing and Readi­ness Cen­ter, and Inte­grat­ed War­fare Sys­tem Lab­o­ra­to­ry. The mod­i­fi­ca­tion will increase the val­ue of this con­tract to $196,462,845. If all options are exer­cised, the total val­ue of the con­tract will be $201,034,574. Work will be per­formed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Octo­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $49,700 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity.
