USAUS Military contracts for FY10

AIR FORCE

Lock­heed Mar­tin Space Sys­tems Co., Sun­ny­vale, Calif., was award­ed a $1,310,303,131 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will pro­vide for the pro­duc­tion of the fourth Advanced Extreme­ly High Fre­quen­cy Satel­lite Vehi­cle 4 (SV4). In addi­tion to deliv­ery of the space vehi­cle, this effort includes SV4 unique sys­tems engi­neer­ing; sys­tem lev­el fac­to­ry test; sys­tem data­base man­age­ment func­tions; sys­tems lev­el sup­port equip­ment; and pro­gram man­age­ment. At this time, $1,236,420,100 has been oblig­at­ed. SMC/PKI, Los Ange­les Air Force Base, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FO4701-02-C-0002; PO0448).

Boe­ing Co., Long Beach, Calif., was award­ed a $258,335,790 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will exer­cise fis­cal 2011 Quar­ter II option con­tract line items in the basic C‑17 Globe­mas­ter III sus­tain­ment part­ner­ship con­tract which pro­vides total sys­tem sup­port respon­si­bil­i­ty to Boe­ing for the C‑17 weapon sys­tem. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. WRALC/GRGKA, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8614-04-C-2004; PO0537). 

The Sci­tor Corp., El Segun­do, Calif., was award­ed a $29,940,512 con­tract which will pro­vide engi­neer­ing, con­sult­ing and tech­ni­cal advi­so­ry sup­port ser­vices for the Space Based Infrared Sys­tems Direc­torate. At this time, $1,234,000 has been oblig­at­ed. SMC/PIK, Los Ange­les Air Force Base, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8802-11-F-3013).

DPL Ener­gy Resources was award­ed a $10,245,433 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will pro­vide and coor­di­nate all elec­tri­cal gen­er­a­tion and trans­mis­sion to the des­ig­nat­ed point of deliv­ery at Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force base, Ohio. At this time, no funds have been oblig­at­ed. ASC/PKOBA, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8601-07-C-0013; PO0004). NAVY

Bal­di Bros., Inc.*, Beau­mont, Calif., is being award­ed $27,412,453 for firm-fixed-price task order #0007 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N62473-09-D-1603) for con­struc­tion of an in-line fuel­ing sta­tion and apron and air­craft park­ing apron mod­i­fi­ca­tion at Marine Corps Air Sta­tion Mira­mar. The work includes the addi­tion of new air­craft direct fuel­ing sta­tions, mod­i­fi­ca­tions to the exist­ing air­craft park­ing aprons, and inci­den­tal relat­ed work includ­ing, but not lim­it­ed to, the fol­low­ing: pro­vide four new air­craft fuel­ing lanes with eight pan­to­graph fuel­ing sta­tions with asso­ci­at­ed site work and air­craft pave­ment; pro­vide new fuel trans­fer pip­ing to and from the new fuel­ing sta­tions with cathod­ic pro­tec­tion sys­tem; demol­ish exist­ing under­ground fuel stor­age tank and asso­ci­at­ed pip­ing and appur­tences; demol­ish approx­i­mate­ly 41,000 square meters of air­craft pave­ment, includ­ing a retain­ing wall, and replace with new pave­ment remove exist­ing joint sealant on air­craft pave­ment, and pro­vide new, remove exist­ing air­craft pave­ment strip­ing; and pro­vide strip­ing as need­ed for air­craft park­ing lay­out. Work will be per­formed in Mira­mar, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Four pro­pos­als were received for this task order. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, South­west, San Diego, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Force Pro­tec­tion Indus­tries, Inc., Lad­son, S.C., is being award­ed a $13,436,254 firm-fixed-price mod­i­fi­ca­tion under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5031) for 87 field ser­vice rep­re­sen­ta­tives for oper­a­tions at the Mine Resis­tant Ambush Pro­tect­ed (MRAP) sup­port facil­i­ty in sup­port of the MRAP vehi­cle fleet. Work will be per­formed in Kuwait and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed June 30, 2011. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

The Math­Works, Inc., Nat­ick, Mass., is being award­ed a $10,000,000 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for Math­Works soft­ware prod­ucts, includ­ing Mat­Lab, Simulink, tool­box­es, main­te­nance, train­ing, and con­sul­ta­tion. The Math­Works pro­duces soft­ware for tech­ni­cal com­put­ing and mod­el-based design for use by gov­ern­ment engi­neers, sci­en­tists, math­e­mati­cians and researchers. Work will be per­formed in Nat­ick, Mass., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Decem­ber 2015. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Weapons Divi­sion, Chi­na Lake, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N68936-11-D-0014).

URS-IAP, LLC, Austin, Texas, is being award­ed a $7,130,000 cost-plus-award-fee mod­i­fi­ca­tion to increase the max­i­mum dol­lar val­ue of task order #0008 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N62470-06-D-6009) for the design and con­struc­tion of a din­ing facil­i­ty with instal­la­tion of all required fur­ni­ture, fix­tures and equip­ment at Camp Lemon­nier, Dji­bouti. After award of this mod­i­fi­ca­tion, the total cumu­la­tive task order val­ue will be $46,984,493. Work will be per­formed in Dji­bouti, Africa, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Novem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, Europe Africa South­west Asia, Naples, Italy, is the con­tract­ing activity. 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Cater­pil­lar, Inc., Mossville, Ill., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $22,938,851 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, long term con­tract for trac­tor deliv­ery order. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is Army. There were orig­i­nal­ly two pro­pos­als solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Sept.30, 2011. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM500-01-D-0059–0512).

Sig­nal Tech­nol­o­gy Corp., Kel­tec Oper­a­tions, Fort Wal­ton Beach, Fla., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $14,238,144 firm-fixed-price, sole-source con­tract for high volt­age mod­ules. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is Navy. There was orig­i­nal­ly one pro­pos­al solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is June 2013. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Avi­a­tion, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPRPA1-11-C-U001).

ARMY

Broad­moor Pittman, JV, Metairie, La., was award­ed on Dec. 10 a $20,340,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the con­struc­tion of Build­ing 449 redun­dant pump sta­tion at NASA’s Michoud Assem­bly Facil­i­ty at New Orleans, La. Work will be com­plete in New Orleans, La., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 19, 2012. The bid was solicit­ed over the Inter­net and six bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Mobile Dis­trict, Mobile, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91278-11-C-0005).

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Arma­ment and Tech­ni­cal Prod­ucts, Burling­ton, Vt., was award­ed on Dec. 13 a $14,910,313 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide engi­neer­ing ser­vices in sup­port of the Hydra-70 2.75-inch rock­et pro­gram and safe­ty assess­ment reports for fis­cal 2011–2013. Work will be com­plet­ed in Burling­ton, Vt., and Cam­den, Ark., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Sep. 30, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, AMCOM Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W31P4Q-11-C-0085).

EADS North Amer­i­can Defense, Arling­ton, Va., was award­ed on Dec. 13 a $9,895,928 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This award will pro­vide for the retro­fitting of 28 ARC-231 air­borne com­mu­ni­ca­tion sys­tems. Work will be com­plet­ed in Colum­bus, Miss., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Sept. 30, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Avi­a­tion and Mis­sile Com­mand, Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W58RGZ-06-C-0194).

Amer­i­can Man­u­fac­tured Struc­tures & Ser­vices, Vien­na, Va., was award­ed on Dec. 13 a $9,576,404 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This award will pro­vide for the sup­ply, deliv­ery and instal­la­tion of a pre­fab­ri­cat­ed build­ing at U.S. Army Gar­ri­son, Yongsan, South Korea. Work will be com­plet­ed in Vien­na, Va., and Yongsan Gar­ri­son, South Korea, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Aug. 31, 2011. Twelve bids were solicit­ed and three bids were received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Pacif­ic Ocean Divi­sion, Far East Korea, Korea, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912UM-11-C-0004).

Sci­ence Appli­ca­tions Inter­na­tion­al Corp., San Diego, Calif., was award­ed on Dec. 13 a $9,362,839 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. This award will pro­vide for logis­ti­cal, secu­ri­ty, project and inte­gra­tion sup­port to the pro­gram man­ag­er for chem­i­cal stock­pile elim­i­na­tion field office at Pine Bluff, Ark. Work will be com­plet­ed in Abing­don, Md., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 31, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed and one bid was received. The U.S. Army Research, Devel­op­ment and Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, Edge­wood Con­tract­ing Divi­sion, Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W911SR-07-D-0001).

Aquater­ra-Cayo, JV, Cle­burne, Texas, was award­ed on Dec. 13 an $8,397,971 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This award will pro­vide con­struc­tion sup­port for “West­bank and Vicin­i­ty, New Orleans, La., Hur­ri­cane Pro­tec­tion Project, WBV-14‑J, West­wego to Har­vey Util­i­ty Cross­ing and Mis­cel­la­neous Sec­tor Gate Retro­fits, Jef­fer­son Parish, La.” Work will be com­plet­ed in Har­vey, La., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 14, 2011. Eleven bids were solicit­ed and five bids were received. The U.S. Army Corp of Engi­neers, New Orleans Dis­trict, New Orleans, La., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912P8-09-D-0047).
