AIR FORCE

L‑3 Com­mu­ni­ca­tion, Arling­ton, Texas, was award­ed a $976,707,000 con­tract which will pro­vide for the ser­vice con­tract for the C‑17 air­craft train­ing sys­tem includ­ing instruc­tion, con­trac­tor logis­tics sup­port, and changes to match actu­al air­craft mod­i­fi­ca­tions in order to main­tain mean­ing­ful air­crew and main­te­nance crew train­ing. Order­ing peri­od will be five years with an option to extend the order­ing for two addi­tion­al years. At this time, no mon­ey has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WISK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8621-11-D-6261).

Engi­neer­ing and Soft­ware Sys­tems Solu­tions, Inc., San Diego, Calif., was award­ed a $48,000,000 con­tract which will pro­vide engi­neer­ing ser­vices for the land­ing gear sys­tems at Hill Air Force Base. This is the applied tech­nol­o­gy for land­ing sys­tems pro­gram for var­i­ous weapon sys­tems. At this time, $2,000 has been oblig­at­ed. 748 SCMG/PKAB, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8251-11-D-0001; FA8251-11-D-0002). ATK Tac­ti­cal Sys­tems, Rock­et Cen­ter, W.Va., was award­ed a $10,249,687 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will pro­vide for a nose-mount­ed prox­im­i­ty sen­sor used on M117 and MK-80 series gen­er­al pur­pose bombs, includ­ing the joint direct attack muni­tions. At this time, $10,249,687 has been oblig­at­ed. ALC/GHGKA, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8681-06-C-0009; P00029). 

NAVY

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Mar­itime Sys­tems and Sen­sors, Man­as­sas, Va., is being award­ed a $133,155,000 cost-plus-incen­tive-fee mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-10-C-6266) to design and sup­port the man­u­fac­ture of hard­ware for the Acoustic Rapid Com­mer­cial-off-the-shelf Inser­tion (A‑RCI) sys­tem improve­ment and inte­gra­tion pro­gram. The con­tract pro­vides fund­ing for the design and devel­op­ment of the A‑RCI and com­mon acoustics pro­cess­ing for Tech­nol­o­gy Inser­tion 08 through Tech­nol­o­gy Inser­tion 10 for the Unit­ed States sub­ma­rine fleet and for for­eign mil­i­tary sales. A‑RCI is a sonar sys­tem that inte­grates and improves towed array, hull array, sphere array, and oth­er ship sen­sor pro­cess­ing. Work will be per­formed in Man­as­sas, Va. (90 per­cent), and Syra­cuse, N.Y. (10 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $9,320,850 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Raytheon Mis­sile Sys­tems, Tuc­son, Ariz., is being award­ed a $70,000,000 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-09-C-5303) for fis­cal 2011 engi­neer­ing and tech­ni­cal ser­vices in sup­port of the Stan­dard Mis­sile pro­gram. Work will be per­formed in Tuc­son, Ariz., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Jan­u­ary 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton Navy Yard, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty. L‑3 Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Corp., Link Sim­u­la­tion and Train­ing Divi­sion, Arling­ton, Texas, is being award­ed a $45,941,594 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract (N00019-07-D-0100) to exer­cise an option for air­craft depot repairs and air­craft engine depot repairs, con­sum­ables and line replace­able unit sup­ply sup­port for the Navy C‑9 air­craft. Work will be per­formed in Okla­homa City, Okla. (60 per­cent); Oceana, Va. (10 per­cent); Wil­low Grove, Pa. (10 per­cent); Whid­bey Island, Wash. (10 per­cent); and Cher­ry Point, N.C. (10 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Novem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Rolls-Royce Corp., Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., is being award­ed a $20,341,169 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract (N00019-10-C-0020) to exer­cise an option for main­te­nance ser­vices in sup­port of the MV-22 and CV-22 AE1107C engines, includ­ing low pow­er repairs and pro­gram man­age­ment and site sup­port. Work will be per­formed in Oak­land, Calif. (70 per­cent). and Indi­anapo­lis, Ind. (30 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Novem­ber 2013. Con­tract funds in the amount of $20,341,169 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract com­bines pur­chas­es for the Air Force ($9,419,451; 46.3 per­cent); Navy ($9,136,302; 45 per­cent); and Spe­cial Oper­a­tions Com­mand ($1,785,416; 8.7 per­cent). The Boe­ing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being award­ed a $7,625,501 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-fixed-fee, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite quan­ti­ty con­tract (N00019-09-D-0010) to exer­cise an option for in-ser­vice sup­port for F/A‑18 air­craft of the gov­ern­ments of Switzer­land, Aus­tralia, Fin­land, Cana­da, Kuwait, Malaysia and Spain. Ser­vices to be pro­vid­ed include pro­gram man­age­ment, logis­tics, engi­neer­ing sup­port, and inci­den­tal mate­ri­als and tech­ni­cal data. Work will be per­formed in St. Louis, Mo., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Decem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract com­bines pur­chas­es for the gov­ern­ments of Switzer­land ($2,461,884; 32 per­cent); Fin­land ($1,702,014; 22 per­cent); Cana­da ($872,514; 12 per­cent); Kuwait ($874,264; 12 per­cent); Malaysia ($864,264; 11 per­cent); Aus­tralia ($464,714; 6 per­cent); and Spain ($385,847; 5 per­cent), under the For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales pro­gram. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

InSyn­er­gy Engi­neer­ing, Inc., Hon­olu­lu, Hawaii, is being award­ed a max­i­mum $7,500,000 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty archi­tect-engi­neer ser­vices con­tract for var­i­ous util­i­ty and ener­gy stud­ies at Navy and Marine Corps facil­i­ties and oth­er gov­ern­ment facil­i­ties with­in the Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand (NAVFAC) Pacif­ic area of respon­si­bil­i­ty (AOR). The work to be per­formed pro­vides for, but is not lim­it­ed to, elec­tri­cal util­i­ty sys­tem stud­ies, mechan­i­cal util­i­ty sys­tem stud­ies, civ­il util­i­ty sys­tem stud­ies and engi­neer­ing and map­ping ser­vices for var­i­ous projects with asso­ci­at­ed mul­ti-dis­ci­pline archi­tect-engi­neer sup­port ser­vices. Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co., Oak­brook, Ill., was award­ed on Nov. 18 a $8,839,500 firm-fixed-price, con­struc­tion, and dredg­ing con­tract for “Main­te­nance Dredg­ing — Wilm­ing­ton Har­bor, Out­er Ocean Bar & Mid-Riv­er Chan­nels, New Hanover and Brunswick Coun­ties, N.C.” Work is to be per­formed in “Wilm­ing­ton Har­bor, Out­er Ocean Bar & Mid-Riv­er Chan­nels, New Hanover and Brunswick Coun­ties, N.C.,” with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of April 30, 2011. Work is to be per­formed in Salt Lake City, Utah, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Jan. 31, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received.
