Roy Ander­son Corp., Gulf­port, Miss., is being award­ed $14,430,700 for firm-fixed-price task order #0002 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N69450-09-D-1280) for the addi­tion to and alter­ation of Air Force Cen­tral Com­mand Head­quar­ters at Shaw Air Force Base. The work to be per­formed con­sists of con­crete foun­da­tion and floor slab, spe­cial foun­da­tions, geot­her­mal wells and pip­ing, mason­ry walls, built-up roof, ele­va­tor, util­i­ties, fire detection/protection, site improve­ments, land­scap­ing, and com­mu­ni­ca­tion sup­port. Work will be per­formed in Sumter, S.C., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Cas­cade Gen­er­al Inc., Port­land, Ore., is being award­ed a $7,661,224 firm-fixed-price con­tract for a 55-cal­en­dar day reg­u­lar over­haul of Mil­i­tary Sealift Com­mand fast com­bat sup­port ship USNS Bridge. The ship’s pri­ma­ry mis­sion is to pro­vide fuel, car­go, and ammu­ni­tion to Navy air­craft car­ri­ers at sea. This reg­u­lar over­haul will include dry-dock­ing and undock­ing the ship; installing a new sea water suc­tion open­ing in hull; clean­ing and mak­ing safe for entry and inspect­ing var­i­ous tanks, cof­fer­dams and voids; and renew­ing spe­cial­ty flight deck coat­ing. The con­tract includes options which, if exer­cised, would bring the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to $9,466,792. Work will be per­formed in Port­land, Ore., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2010. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via an unre­strict­ed solic­i­ta­tion and four offers were received. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for con­crete crack and spall repairs, exte­ri­or brick repair, sealant replace­ment, inte­ri­or fin­ish­es, door replace­ment, restroom and show­er replace­ment, mechan­i­cal plumb­ing, fire sup­pres­sion, and elec­tri­cal upgrades. Work will be per­formed in Beau­fort, S.C., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by April 2011. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Sev­en pro­pos­als were received for this task order. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, South­east, Jack­sonville, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activity.
