US Military contracts for FY12

NAVY

The Boe­ing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being award­ed an $80,554,934 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for main­te­nance, man­u­fac­tur­ing of parts, instru­men­ta­tion and engi­neer­ing sup­port for all mod­els of the F/A‑18 & EA-18G air­craft includ­ing future vari­ants, domes­tic and For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales, for ground and flight test pro­grams con­duct­ed at the Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md. No fund­ing will be oblig­at­ed at time of award. Funds will be oblig­at­ed on indi­vid­ual task orders as they are issued. Work will be per­formed in Patux­ent Riv­er, Md. (97 per­cent), and St. Louis, Mo. (3 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Jan­u­ary 2017. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured pur­suant to FAR 6.302–1. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00421-12-D-0003).

Matrix Providers, Inc.*, Mon­u­ment, Colo. (N62645-12-D-5021); TIST­Corp II, L.L.C.*, San Anto­nio, Texas (N62645-12-D-5022); Locum Lead­ers, L.L.C.*, Alpharet­ta, Ga. (N62645-12-D-5023); and The Heal­ing Staff, Inc.*, San Anto­nio, Texas (N62645-12-D-5024), are each being award­ed a firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty mul­ti­ple award task order con­tract to pro­vide locum tenens physi­cian ser­vices in sup­port of short term health care ser­vices. The max­i­mum not-to-exceed amount for all four con­tracts com­bined is $49,999,900. All four con­trac­tors will have an oppor­tu­ni­ty to com­pete and bid on each indi­vid­ual task order under the terms and con­di­tions of the award­ed con­tract. Work will be con­duct­ed at Navy med­ical treat­ment facil­i­ties through­out the con­ti­nen­tal Unit­ed States and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Jan­u­ary 2017. All con­tract funds will expire at the end of the fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties, with six offers received. The Naval Med­ical Logis­tics Com­mand, Fort Det­rick, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Sci­ence Appli­ca­tions Inter­na­tion­al Corp., Mclean, Va., is being award­ed a $10,647,009 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed, cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract (N66001-11-C-4116) for the Deep Sea Oper­a­tions Pro­gram to intro­duce sur­veil­lance that oper­ates at extreme ocean depths to detect qui­et sub­marines. The exer­cis­ing of this 15-month option brings the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to an esti­mat­ed $12,199,237. Work will be con­duct­ed at con­trac­tor facil­i­ties locat­ed in Arling­ton, Va. (27 per­cent); Long Beach, Miss. (27 per­cent); San Diego, Calif. (22 per­cent); Austin, Texas (17 per­cent); Ger­man­town, Md. (six per­cent); and Mel­bourne, Fla. (one per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed April 11, 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured through the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency Broad Agency Announce­ment num­ber 11–24 pub­lished via the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site, with 16 offers received. The Space and Naval War­fare Sys­tems Cen­ter Pacif­ic, San Diego, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

The Boe­ing Co., Seat­tle, Wash., is being award­ed a $9,179,536 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-fixed fee con­tract (N00019-09-C-0022) for spares, repairables, train­ers, and course­ware in sup­port of the low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion, lot two, P‑8A mul­ti-mis­sion mar­itime air­craft. Work will be per­formed in Seat­tle, Wash. (60 per­cent), and St. Louis, Mo. (40 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Sham­rock Foods, Com­merce City, Colo., was award­ed a firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-quan­ti­ty, sole-source con­tract with a max­i­mum $10,539,378 for prime ven­dor full line food dis­tri­b­u­tion. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army and Air Force. Type of appro­pri­a­tion is fis­cal 2012 Defense Work­ing Cap­i­tal Funds. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Jan. 12, 2013. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM300-12-D-3531).

Vinyl Tech­nol­o­gy*, Mon­rovia, Calif., was award­ed a firm-fixed-price, def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract with a max­i­mum $8,957,550 for pro­cure­ment of CSU-22/P, advanced tech­nol­o­gy anti‑G suit. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vice is Air Force. There were two respons­es to the Defense Logis­tics Agency Inter­net Bid Board Sys­tem pro­pos­al. Type of appro­pri­a­tion is fis­cal 2012 Defense Work­ing Cap­i­tal Funds. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is July 31, 2014. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM1C1-12-C-0006).
