USAUS Military contracts for FY11

AIR FORCE

     Gen­er­al Elec­tric Co., Cincin­nati, Ohio, is being award­ed a $17,503,911 firm-fixed-price con­tract for the ser­vice life exten­sion pro­gram kits and time com­pli­ance tech­ni­cal order upgrade kits in sup­port of the upgrade of eight Egypt­ian Air Force F110 engines. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is Gen­er­al Elec­tric Co., Cincin­nati, Ohio.848th Sup­ply Chain Man­age­ment Group, Tin­ker Air Force Base, Okla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8122-09-G-001‑0019).

     L‑3 Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Corp., Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Sys­tems  East Divi­sion, Cam­den, N. J., is being award­ed a $9,585,657 firm-fixed-price, cost-reim­bursable con­tract for advanced extreme­ly high frequency/special test equip­ment sys­tems and three inter­face tester adapters; train­ing course and main­te­nance man­u­als; tech­ni­cal data pack­age (Lev­el 3); build­ing and installing one dupli­cate advanced extreme­ly high frequency/special test equip­ment tester; and three inter­face tester adapters; data, and cost-reim­bursable trav­el. The loca­tion of per­for­mance is L‑3 Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, Cam­den, N.J. Elec­tron­ic Sys­tems Cen­ter, Cryp­to­log­ic Sys­tems Con­tract­ing Divi­sion (ESC/HNCK), San Anto­nio, Texas, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8307-12-C-1000).

DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY 

     SRI Inter­na­tion­al, Men­lo Park, Calif., is being award­ed a $7,147,416 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The Broad Oper­a­tional Lan­guage Tech­nol­o­gy Pro­gram has a goal of cre­at­ing tech­nol­o­gy capa­ble of trans­lat­ing mul­ti­ple for­eign lan­guages in all gen­res, retriev­ing infor­ma­tion from the trans­lat­ed mate­r­i­al, and enabling bilin­gual com­mu­ni­ca­tion via speech or text. Specif­i­cal­ly, this con­trac­tor will con­duct work for activ­i­ties a), genre-inde­pen­dent trans­la­tion and infor­ma­tion retrieval sys­tem; b), human-machine com­mu­ni­ca­tion sys­tem; c), human-human dia­logue sys­tem; and d), Ara­bic dialect com­po­nents. Work will be per­formed in Men­lo Park, Calif. (50.22 per­cent); Flush­ing, N.Y. (2.49 per­cent); New York, N.Y. (11.39 per­cent); Hong Kong (2.41 per­cent); Port­land, Ore. (1.00 per­cent); Rochester, N.Y. (1.58 per­cent); Edin­burgh, the Unit­ed King­dom (2.41 per­cent); Seat­tle, Wash. (6.56 per­cent); Mar­seille, France (2.56 per­cent); Amherst, Mass. (10.68 per­cent); Richard­son, Texas (1.26 per­cent); and Sun­ny­vale, Calif. (7.43 per­cent). The work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sept. 30, 2016. The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (HR0011-12-C-0016).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY 

     Gulf­port Avi­a­tion Part­ners, L.L.C.*, Hous­ton, Texas, was award­ed a fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for a max­i­mum $6,603,727 for jet fuel. Oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Gulf­port Biloxi Inter­na­tion­al Air­port, Gulf­port, Miss. Using ser­vice is Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and fed­er­al civil­ian agen­cies. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is March 31, 2015. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SP0600-12-D-0001).
