USAUS Military contracts for FY11

ARMY

     Glob­al Inte­grat­ed Secu­ri­ty (USA), Inc., Reston, Va., was award­ed a $480,000,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the recon­struc­tion secu­ri­ty sup­port ser­vices through­out Afghanistan in sup­port of the U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 19, 2015. Five bids were solicit­ed, with five bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Win­ches­ter, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912ER-12-D-0001).

     Core Engi­neer­ing and Con­struc­tion, Inc., Win­ter Park, Fla., was award­ed a $45,000,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the reme­di­a­tion ser­vices in sup­port of the U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers. Work loca­tion will be deter­mined with each task order, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 15, 2016. There were 54 bids solicit­ed, with six bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Mobile, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91278-12-D-0002).

     Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was award­ed a $33,336,156 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the mod­i­fi­ca­tion of an exist­ing con­tract to pro­duce 12 launch­er mod kits. Work will be per­formed in Grand Prairie, Texas; Cam­den, Ark.; Lufkin, Texas; Chelms­ford, Mass.; and Ocala, Fla., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Nov. 30, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W31P4Q-11-C-0001).

     Benard Asso­ciates, Wayne, N.J., was award­ed a $23,974,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the ren­o­va­tion and addi­tion ser­vices for West Point Mid­dle School. Work will be per­formed in West Point, N.Y., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Jan. 15, 2015. Thir­ty bids were solicit­ed, with six bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, New York, N.Y., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912DS-12-C-0001).

     Bat­telle Memo­r­i­al Insti­tute, Colum­bus, Ohio, was award­ed a $14,395,550 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of UH-60 fault-func­tion pan­els. Work will be per­formed in Colum­bus, Ohio, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Sept. 30, 2016. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Avi­a­tion and Mis­sile Com­mand, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W58RGZ-12-D-0010).

     BAE Sys­tems, York, Pa., was award­ed a $9,031,771 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the refur­bish­ment and analy­sis ser­vices for the Pal­adin inte­grat­ed man­age­ment bridge, three. Work will be per­formed in York, Pa., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Nov. 30, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-09-C-0550).

NAVY

     Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Elec­tric Boat Corp., Gro­ton, Conn., is being award­ed an $89,954,864 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract (N00024-11-C-2109) to exer­cise an option for engi­neer­ing and tech­ni­cal design ser­vices to sup­port research and devel­op­ment of advanced sub­ma­rine tech­nolo­gies for cur­rent and future sub­ma­rine plat­forms. Work will be per­formed in Gro­ton, Conn. (75 per­cent), and New­port News, Va. (25 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Octo­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

     Lock­heed Mar­tin Mis­sion Sys­tems & Sen­sors, Moorestown, N.J., is being award­ed a $16,868,744 cost-plus-fixed-fee mod­i­fi­ca­tion to con­tract (N00024-11-C-5106) to exer­cise options for Aegis Weapon Sys­tem and Aegis Com­bat Sys­tem com­bat sys­tems engi­neer­ing, in-coun­try sup­port ser­vices, and stag­ing sup­port to ful­fill Aegis life­time sup­port require­ments for the Repub­lic of Korea Navy. This con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion involves the Repub­lic of Korea under For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales Pro­gram. Work will be per­formed in Moorestown, N.J. (85.8 per­cent); Seoul, South Korea (10.8 per­cent); Pusan, South Korea (1.7 per­cent); and Chin­hae, South Korea (1.7 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Jan­u­ary 2016. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

     The Boe­ing Co., Fort Wal­ton Beach, Fla., is being award­ed an $11,129,648 firm-fixed-price con­tract for spares and will pro­vide five major sub­assem­blies required to build-up six AC-130U 25 mm ammu­ni­tion stor­age han­dling sys­tems assem­blies. These sub­assem­blies are con­vey­or assem­bly, loader/downloader, mag­a­zine trans­fer unit, mag­a­zine dri­ver gear­box, and the gun dri­ve gear­box. Air Force Glob­al Logis­tics Sup­port Cen­ter, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8520-12-D-0003).
