USAUS Military contracts for FY11

AIR FORCE

     Tecolote Research, Inc., Gole­ta, Calif., is being award­ed an $88,500,000 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract with cost-plus-fixed-fee, cost-reim­burse­ment and firm-fixed-price con­tract line items to pro­vide spe­cial­ized cost ser­vices advi­so­ry and assis­tance ser­vices to the Elec­tron­ic Sys­tems Cen­ter. ESC/CAA, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8721-11-D-0001).

NAVY

     Air­borne Tac­ti­cal Advan­tage Co., L.L.C., New­port News, Va., is being award­ed a $47,080,902 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract (N00019-09-D-0021) to exer­cise an option for ser­vices in sup­port of the Com­mer­cial Air Ser­vices Pro­gram, which pro­vides con­trac­tor owned and oper­at­ed Type III High Sub­son­ic and Type IV Super­son­ic air­craft to Navy Fleet cus­tomers for a wide vari­ety of air­borne threat sim­u­la­tion capa­bil­i­ties. This pro­vides for train­ing ship­board and air­craft squadron weapon sys­tems oper­a­tors and air­crew how to counter poten­tial ene­my elec­tron­ic war­fare and elec­tron­ic attack oper­a­tions in today’s elec­tron­ic com­bat envi­ron­ment. Work will be per­formed in New­port News, Va. (45 per­cent); Point Mugu, Calif. (35 per­cent); and var­i­ous loca­tions out­side the Unit­ed States (20 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Octo­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Funds will be oblig­at­ed on indi­vid­ual deliv­ery orders as they are issued. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

ARMY

     Siko­rsky Air­craft Corp., Strat­ford, Conn., was award­ed a $38,268,248 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the mod­i­fi­ca­tion of an exist­ing con­tract to pro­cure 14 air­craft for the Unit­ed Arab Emi­rates. Work will be per­formed in Strat­ford, Conn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Dec. 31, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W58RGZ-08-C-0003).

     Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was award­ed a $37,753,716 firm-fixed-priced and cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the mod­i­fi­ca­tion of an exist­ing con­tract to pro­cure 11 PAC‑3 launch­er mod kits. Work will be per­formed in Grand Prairie, Texas; Cam­den, Ark.; Lufkin, Texas; Chelms­ford, Mass.; and Ocala, Fla., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 31, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W31P4Q-11-C-0001).

     ACROW Corp. of Amer­i­ca, Par­sip­pa­ny, N.J., was award­ed an $18,888,505 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of 60 line of com­mu­ni­ca­tion bridge pan­els. Work loca­tion will be deter­mined with each task order, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Sept. 30, 2015. The bid was solicit­ed through the Inter­net, with one bid received. The 411th Con­tract­ing Sup­port Brigade, South Korea, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W91QVN-12-D-0002).

     DRS, St. Louis, Mo., was award­ed a $14,914,028 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of M1200 Armored Knight vehi­cles. Work will be per­formed in St. Louis, Mo., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 31, 2013. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-12-C-0022).

     Siko­rsky Air­craft Corp., Strat­ford, Conn., was award­ed a $12,500,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of spares and ground sup­port equip­ment pro­vi­sions in sup­port of the 15 UH-60M heli­copters for the Swedish Armed Forces. Work will be per­formed in Strat­ford, Conn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 31, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed, with one bid received. The U.S. Army Con­tract­ing Com­mand, Red­stone Arse­nal, Ala., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W58RGZ-08-C-0003).

     Nor­folk Dredg­ing Co., Chesa­peake, Va., was award­ed an $8,350,635 firm-fixed-price con­tract. The award will pro­vide for the removal and dis­pos­al ser­vices of mate­r­i­al from the Delaware Riv­er Chan­nel. Work will be per­formed in Pedrick­town, N.J., and Wilm­ing­ton, Del., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 15, 2012. There were 21 bids solicit­ed, with three bids received. The U.S. Army Corps of Engi­neers, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W912BU-12-C-0001).

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY 

     Fire­house Med­ical, Inc.*, Ana­heim, Calif., was award­ed a fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for a max­i­mum $32,274,900 for hos­pi­tal and train­ing med­ical devices. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and fed­er­al civil­ian agen­cies. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Oct.10, 2016. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM2DH-12-D-8201).

     Eco­mass Tech­nolo­gies*, Austin, Texas, was award­ed a firm-fixed-price con­tract for a max­i­mum $28,353,338 for heater trays, type two. Oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Wis­con­sin. Using ser­vices are Army and Marine Corps. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Oct. 6, 2013. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM3S1-12-D-Z187).
