 Gen­er­al Dynam­ics NASSCO, San Diego, Calif., is being award­ed an $8,109,915 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-08-C-4410) for the USS Harpers Fer­ry (LSD 49) fis­cal year 2011 extend­ed dock­ing phased main­te­nance avail­abil­i­ty (EDPMA). An EDPMA pro­vides for an exten­sive ren­o­va­tion and mod­ern­iza­tion of an LSD class ship, includ­ing alter­ations and repairs as well as inspec­tion and test­ing to all ships sys­tems and com­po­nents ensur­ing safe and depend­able oper­a­tion of the ship. Work will be per­formed in San Diego, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by August 2012. Con­tract funds in the amount of $8,109,915 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The South­west Region­al Main­te­nance Cen­ter, San Diego, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty.

 Road and High­way Builders, L.L.C., Reno, Nev., was award­ed on Sept. 30, 2011, a $6,937,011 firm-fixed-price task order 0002 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty mul­ti­ple award paving con­tract (N62478-11-D-4038) to repair the air­field South Ramp, Areas 22–24, 26–27, 29, and 30 at Joint Base Pearl Har­bor-Hick­am. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for air­field resur­fac­ing, which includes cold plan­ning and saw cut­ting the exist­ing asphalt con­crete pave­ment and pro­vid­ing new asphalt con­crete pave­ment, geo­t­ex­tile mate­r­i­al, pave­ment mark­ings, and coal tar (jet) seal­er. In addi­tion to the resur­fac­ing work, a topo­graph­i­cal sur­vey and a Nation­al Pol­lu­tant Dis­charge Elim­i­na­tion Sys­tem per­mit shall be pro­vid­ed. Work will be per­formed in Oahu, Hawaii, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by August 2012. Con­tract funds in the amount of $6,937,011 are oblig­at­ed on this award and will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Four pro­pos­als were received for this task order.
