NAVY

      The Boe­ing Co., Seat­tle, Wash., is being award­ed a $319,905,801 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed fixed-price-incen­tive-fee con­tract (N00019-09-C-0022) for spares, sup­port equip­ment and tools, logis­tics sup­port, train­ers, and course­ware in sup­port of the low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion, lot two, P‑8A mul­ti-mis­sion mar­itime air­craft. Work will be per­formed in McK­in­ney, Texas (35 per­cent); Hazel­wood, Mo. (35 per­cent); Seat­tle, Wash. (14 per­cent); Jack­sonville, Fla. (4 per­cent); Ana­heim, Calif. Raytheon Mis­sile Sys­tems, Tuc­son, Ariz., is being award­ed a $142,565,902 not-to-exceed cost-only con­tract for fis­cal 2011 Stan­dard Missile‑2 (SM‑2) pro­duc­tion of all-up-rounds, sec­tion lev­el com­po­nents and spares, ship­ping con­tain­ers, and asso­ci­at­ed data. This con­tract will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of 60 SM‑2 Block IIIB all-up-rounds, and SM‑2 Block IIIB com­po­nents and spares. This con­tract includes options, which, if exer­cised, would bring the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to $146,227,686. This con­tract com­bines pur­chas­es for the U.S. Navy (17.8 per­cent); and, under the For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales Pro­gram, the gov­ern­ments of Korea (32.4 per­cent), Japan (26.5 per­cent), Aus­tralia (21.9 per­cent), Ger­many (0.7 per­cent), Tai­wan (0.5 per­cent), and Cana­da (0.2 per­cent). (N65540-11-D-0021), are each being award­ed indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite quan­ti­ty, cost-plus-fixed-fee, mul­ti­ple award con­tracts in the amount of $91,474,687 for ser­vices to sup­port hull, mechan­i­cal, and elec­tri­cal machin­ery and sys­tems on Navy ves­sels, oth­er fed­er­al agency ves­sels, fed­er­al­ly con­tract­ed ves­sels and plat­forms, select­ed mar­itime agency ves­sels, and select land based sites.       Jacobs Tech­nol­o­gy, Inc., Fort Wal­ton Beach, Fla., is being award­ed $42,442,430 for task order 0039 under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-priced con­tract (M67854-02-A-9017). This effort is for the con­ti­nu­ity of ser­vices con­tract to con­tin­ue infor­ma­tion tech­nol­o­gy ser­vices until the tran­si­tion to the next gen­er­a­tion Enter­prise Net­work is accom­plished. Work will be per­formed in Quan­ti­co, Va., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in June 2014. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year.       Supe­ri­or Elec­tric, Farm­ing­ton, Conn., is being award­ed a $35,801,255 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for the design and pro­duc­tion of auto­mat­ic bus trans­fer switch­es. Auto­mat­ic bus trans­fer switch­es pro­cured under this con­tract are intend­ed for use on all Navy ship and sub­ma­rine class­es. Work will be per­formed in Farm­ing­ton, Conn., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2016. Con­tract funds in the amount of $149,230 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year.       Sauer, Inc., Jack­sonville, Fla., is being award­ed $28,126,400 for firm-fixed-price task order 0006 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N69450-09-D-1277) for design and con­struc­tion of cor­ro­sion con­trol repairs to Explo­sive Han­dling Wharf 2 cov­er and struc­ture at Naval Sub­ma­rine Base Kings Bay. Work will be per­formed in Kings Bay, Ga., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by June 2013. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Two pro­pos­als were received for this task order. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, South­east, Jack­sonville, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

      3Phoenix, Inc.*, Chan­til­ly, Va., is being award­ed a $20,452,418 sole source cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for the design and devel­op­ment of four Tor­pe­do Warn­ing Sys­tem engi­neer­ing devel­op­ment mod­els. This effort is for phase three of Small Busi­ness Inno­v­a­tive Research top­ic N07-070, Dis­trib­uted Sen­sor Sys­tem Inno­va­tions. The con­tract includes options, which, if exer­cised, would bring the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to $45,009,130. Work will be per­formed in Fair­fax, Va. (40 per­cent), Wake For­est, N.C. (30 per­cent), and Hanover, Md. (30 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year.       Force Pro­tec­tion Indus­tries, Inc., Lad­son, S.C., is being award­ed a $16,941,232 firm-fixed-priced mod­i­fi­ca­tion under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5031) for the pro­cure­ment of 961 fuel pro­tec­tion kits, and eight sets of capa­bil­i­ty inser­tion enhanced and inspect or repair only as nec­es­sary tools, for Mine Resis­tant Ambush Pro­tect­ed vehi­cles. Work will be per­formed in Charleston, S.C., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed no lat­er than March 30, 2012.       Har­ris Corp., Rochester, N.Y., is being award­ed a $14,898,576 firm-fixed-price con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for sup­port to the Air Force Tac­ti­cal Air Con­trol Par­ty Mod­ern­iza­tion Pro­gram. The equip­ment being pur­chased includes the AN/PRC-117G man-pack radio and acces­sories. Work will be per­formed in Rochester, N.Y., and is expect­ed to com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2011.       Allen Van­guard, Inc.*, Ogdens­burg, N.Y., is being award­ed a $10,291,862 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of oper­a­tions search kits and pro­tec­tive equip­ment in sup­port of the gov­ern­ment of Chile under the For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales Pro­gram (100 per­cent). At the time of con­tract award, $2,553,532 is being oblig­at­ed. Work will be per­formed in Ogdens­burg, N.Y., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2012.       Hamil­ton Sund­strand Corp., Wind­sor Locks, Conn., is being award­ed $9,966,104 for deliv­ery order 5458 under an exist­ing basic order­ing agree­ment (N00383-08-G-001J) to repair 530 parts kits for the loss of lube pre­ven­tion ini­tia­tive used in sup­port of the V‑22 air­craft for the con­stant fre­quen­cy gen­er­a­tor. The cir­cuit card assem­blies are inte­grat­ed into the MH-60R and MH-60S armed heli­copter weapon sys­tem projects. Geo­Eye Ana­lyt­ics will be per­form­ing threat, counter insur­gency, and counter ter­ror­ism analy­sis to sup­port intel­li­gence analy­sis pro­grams and oper­a­tional orga­ni­za­tions. The con­tract includes options, which, if exer­cised, will bring the cumu­la­tive con­tract val­ue to $22,178,709. Work will be per­formed in Wash­ing­ton, D.C., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2014. This con­tract will be incre­men­tal­ly fund­ed, and funds in the amount of $5,878,768 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year.       InDyne, Inc., Reston, Va., is being award­ed a $11,453,051 cost-plus-incen­tive-fee/award-fee con­tract to pro­vide for the West­ern Range oper­a­tions and main­te­nance; sup­port ser­vices; test­ing, mod­i­fy­ing and installing com­mu­ni­ca­tions, infor­ma­tion and com­put­er sys­tem ser­vices; and test­ing, mod­i­fy­ing and installing com­mu­ni­ca­tions, elec­tron­ic and secu­ri­ty sys­tems at launch facil­i­ties, launch con­trol cen­ters and test facil­i­ties. DEFENSE ADVANCED RESEARCH PROJECTS AGENCY 

      The RN Armor Vax Con­sor­tium, Orlan­do, Fla., is being award­ed a $17,300,230 tech­nol­o­gy invest­ment agree­ment. The award is for a research and devel­op­ment pro­gram designed to iden­ti­fy, inves­ti­gate, and devel­op can­di­date RNA vac­cines against infec­tious dis­ease. Work will be per­formed in Orlan­do, Fla. (19.59 per­cent); Lyon, France (11.93 per­cent); Tub­in­gen, Ger­many (56.62 per­cent); and Nantes, France (11.86 per­cent). DEFENSE THREAT REDUCTION AGENCY 

      Achao­gen, Inc., South San Fran­cis­co, Calif., is being award­ed a $8,919,538 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for nov­el broad spec­trum ther­a­peu­tics against gram-neg­a­tive bac­te­r­i­al threat agents, research and devel­op­ment effort for the Defense Threat Reduc­tion Agency in sup­port of the research and devel­op­ment enteprise. Work will be per­formed at South San Fran­cis­co, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed June 2012. Seit 2001 ist GlobalDefence.net im Internet unterwegs, um mit eigenen Analysen, interessanten Kooperationen und umfassenden Informationen für einen spannenden Überblick der Weltlage zu sorgen. GlobalDefence.net war dabei die erste deutschsprachige Internetseite, die mit dem Schwerpunkt Sicherheitspolitik außerhalb von Hochschulen oder Instituten aufgetreten ist.
