NAVY

URS Tech­ni­cal Ser­vices, Inc, Stafford, Va., is being award­ed a $45,501,715 time and mate­r­i­al con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of Mine Resis­tant Ambush Pro­tect­ed (MRAP) Vehi­cle Con­tract Sup­port Ser­vices. The MRAP vehi­cles are armored vehi­cles with blast resis­tant under­bod­ies designed to pro­tect the crew from mine blasts, frag­men­tary, and direct fire weapons. This con­tract will pro­cure ser­vices to sup­port the MRAP pro­gram in the fol­low­ing areas: pro­gram man­age­ment, acqui­si­tion, sys­tems engi­neer­ing, test and eval­u­a­tion, logis­tics, safe­ty, qual­i­ty, and admin­is­tra­tive sup­port. Work will be per­formed in Stafford, Va., and work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by the end of July 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was pro­cured on a sole source basis. The Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (M67854-11-F-5097).

AAI Cor­po­ra­tion, Hunt Val­ley, Md., is being award­ed a $35,763,523 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to exist­ing pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract (N00174-11-D-0001) for Uni­ver­sal Test Set sys­tems, acces­sories and spares need­ed to sup­port the Naval Explo­sive Ord­nance Divi­sion, Indi­an Head, Md. Work will be com­plet­ed in Austin, Texas, and work is expect­ed to com­plete in Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $3,106,973 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sur­face War­fare Cen­ter, Indi­an Head, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

L‑3 Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Corp., Arling­ton, Texas, is being award­ed a $22,362,512 firm-fixed-price con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of hard­ware and soft­ware to upgrade the Cana­di­an Air Force’s train­ing sys­tem from the exist­ing Advanced Dis­trib­uted Com­bat Train­ing Sys­tem to the cur­rent Unit­ed States Navy Tac­ti­cal Oper­a­tion Flight Train­ers Roadmap Pro­cure­ment Pro­gram base­line. In addi­tion this con­tract includes the instal­la­tion and test­ing of the hard­ware and soft­ware for six net­worked CF-18 9‑panel Tac­ti­cal Oper­a­tional Flight train­ers; ten Part Task Train­ers and six brief and debrief sys­tems; a the­ater spe­cif­ic visu­al data­base; Sim­u­lat­ed Joint Hel­met Mount­ed Cue­ing Sys­tem; new PC-based Image Gen­er­a­tion; and Oper­a­tor, Main­te­nance and User Defined File train­ing for approx­i­mate­ly ten stu­dents. This pur­chase is for the Gov­ern­ment of Cana­da ($22,362,512; 100 per­cent) under the Mil­i­tary Sales Pro­gram. Work will be per­formed in Cana­da (70 per­cent) and Arling­ton, Texas (30 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in May 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Train­ing Sys­tems Divi­sion, Orlan­do, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N61340-11-C-0017).
