Work will be per­formed Yuma Prov­ing Ground, Yuma, Ariz., and Cold Regions Test Cen­ter, Fort Greely, Alas­ka, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 28, 2013. The award will pro­vide for the pro­cure­ment of 42 MX-20 lite sen­sor B‑kits; 21 MX-20 lite instal­la­tion A‑kits; five upgrad­ed ground con­trol sta­tions and asso­ci­at­ed gon­do­las, to include required soft­ware upgrades; and 10 STAR­Lite instal­la­tion A‑kits in sup­port of Oper­a­tion Endur­ing Free­dom. The award will pro­vide for mate­r­i­al and equip­ment, includ­ing train­ing cen­ter and mobile ground sta­tion, to con­tin­ue oper­a­tions of the Desert Owl‑1 advanced air­borne pen­e­trat­ing radar sys­tem. Work will be per­formed in Iraq, with an esti­mate com­ple­tion date of Nov. 30, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. BAE Sys­tems, York, Penn., was award­ed on Feb. 28 a $7,316,406 cost-reim­bursable, no-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide for long-lead mate­r­i­al for the M88A2 Her­cules reset. Work will be per­formed in York, Penn., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of July 30, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Grand Prairie, Texas, was award­ed on Feb. 28 a $7,048,349 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. The award will pro­vide tech­ni­cal and con­sum­able mate­r­i­al sup­port, as well as plan­ning, man­age­ment, fail­ure analy­sis, qual­i­ty reli­a­bil­i­ty assess­ment, main­te­nance of the Cer­ti­fied Round Data Man­age­ment sys­tem, and main­te­nance sup­port activ­i­ties con­duct­ed at the PATRIOT Advanced Capability‑3 Mis­sile Sup­port Cen­ter. Work will be per­formed in Grand Prairie, Texas; Cam­den, Ariz.; and Lufkin, Ark., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Jan. 31, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

South­west Air­port Ser­vices, Inc.*, Hous­ton, Texas, is being award­ed a max­i­mum $38,374,394 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for fuel. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and fed­er­al civil­ian agen­cies. There were orig­i­nal­ly 115 pro­pos­als solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is March 31, 2015. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SP0600-11-D-0057).

Wolver­ine World Wide, Inc., Rock­ford, Mich., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $13,228,034 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for Army com­bat boots. Oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance are Arkansas and Michi­gan. Using ser­vices are Army and Air Force. The orig­i­nal pro­pos­al was Web-solicit­ed with six respons­es. This con­tract is exer­cis­ing the sec­ond two-year option peri­od. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is March 4, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM1C1-09-D-0033).

NAVY

Black Hills Ammu­ni­tion*, Rapid City, S.D., is being award­ed a $16,496,000 firm-fixed price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for 5.56-millimetre, 77-grain, long-range ammu­ni­tion in sup­port of the U.S. Spe­cial Oper­a­tions Com­mand. The 5.56-millimetre ammu­ni­tion is intend­ed for use in the Spe­cial Pur­pose Receiv­er Weapon sys­tem, and is designed for marks­men and snipers, but will also be used for train­ing. Work will be per­formed in Rapid City, S.D., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by March 2016. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured via Navy Elec­tron­ic Com­merce Online web­site, with two pro­pos­als received. Bell Heli­copter Tex­tron, Fort Worth, Texas, is being award­ed a $12,600,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee order against a pre­vi­ous­ly issued Basic Order­ing Agree­ment (N00019-11-G-0003) for design and devel­op­ment activ­i­ties in sup­port of the AH-1Z and UH-1Y cuff and yoke redesign. Work will be per­formed in Fort Worth, Texas, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in June 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

Har­ris Corp., Palm Bay, Fla., is being award­ed a $15,527,025 firm-fixed-price con­tract to man­u­fac­ture War­head Replace­ment Tac­ti­cal Teleme­try, with 135 units ordered under this order. Work will be per­formed at Har­ris Corp., Palm Bay, Fla.; Her­ly Indus­tries, Lan­cast­er, Pa. (sub­con­trac­tor); and Ball Aero­space & Tech­nolo­gies Corp., West­min­ster, Co. Funds in the amount of $2,645,345 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The 638 SCMG/PKAD, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8520-10-D-0001–0005).

RL Camp­bell, Jack­sonville, Fla., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $10,000,000 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract in which indi­vid­ual firm-fixed-price deliv­ery orders will be award­ed for mate­ri­als, equip­ment, and per­son­nel nec­es­sary to install, replace and/or repair roofs under the purview of Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base. Work will be per­formed at Wright Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, and the sched­uled con­tract deliv­ery date is March 1, 2011 to August 28, 2014.
