USAUS Military contracts for FY10

NAVY

Cana­di­an Com­mer­cial Corp., Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Land Sys­tems — Cana­da (GDLS‑C), Ontario, Cana­da, is being award­ed a $317,433,459 firm-fixed-priced mod­i­fi­ca­tion under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5028) to pro­cure 691 kits of the fol­low­ing mod­ern­iza­tion and upgrade engi­neer­ing change pro­pos­als (ECPs): inde­pen­dent sus­pen­sion axle aystem (ISAS); ISAS nose assem­bly; armor kits; wheel and tire upgrade; left for­ward seats; spall lin­er; cen­tral tire infla­tion sys­tem upgrade; pow­er pack upgrade; trans­fer case assem­bly; trans­fer case com­po­nents; upgrade hydraulics; hood/bonnet assem­bly; and enhanced exhaust sys­tem. In addi­tion, this pro­cure­ment will include 525 kits of the inward fac­ing seats ECP, and 166 of the footrest ECP kits. Work will be per­formed in Tren­ton, N.J.; Chan­dler, Ariz.; Waltham, Mass.; Ogdens­burg, N.Y.; St-Eti­enne, France; and Benoni, South Africa. Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed no lat­er than Novem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty.

Nav­is­tar Defense, LLC, War­renville, Ill., is being award­ed a $123,410,811 firm-fixed-priced deliv­ery order #0016 under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5032) for the pro­cure­ment of 175 Cat­e­go­ry I Mine Resis­tant Ambush Pro­tect­ed vehi­cles; DASH engi­neer change pro­pos­als (ECPs) Phase I; DASH (MaxxPro Dash) ECPs Phase II; col­lat­er­al mate­r­i­al basic issue item (unique); and inde­pen­dent sus­pen­sion sys­tem depro­cess­ing parts kit. The objec­tive of this pro­cure­ment is to sus­tain oper­a­tions in lim­it­ed mobil­i­ty areas such as the moun­tain­ous ter­rain of Afghanistan and the wide open deserts of Iraq. Work will be per­formed in West Point, Miss., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by the end of June 2011. Con­tract funds in the amount of $123,410,811 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

L3/Interstate Elec­tron­ics Corp., Ana­heim, Calif., is being award­ed a $28,173,183 mod­i­fi­ca­tion (P00012) to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-incen­tive-fee, cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract (N00030-10-C-0009) for spe­cial­ized tech­ni­cal engi­neer­ing ser­vices to oper­ate, main­tain and repair the TRIDENT II D5, test instru­men­ta­tion sub­sys­tems, spares, and relat­ed sup­port equip­ment in sup­port of the U.S. TRIDENT II D5 weapon sys­tems. Work will be per­formed in Ana­heim, Calif. (80 per­cent); Cape Canaver­al, Fla. (13 per­cent); Arling­ton, Va. (5 per­cent); Austin, Texas (1 per­cent); Los Ange­les, Calif. (0.5 per­cent); and Sun­ny­vale, Calif. (0.5 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Sept. 30, 2011. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. Navy Strate­gic Sys­tems Pro­grams, Arling­ton, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

SEDNA Dig­i­tal Solu­tions, Man­as­sas, Va., is being award­ed a $14,303,362 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-08-C-6203) to exer­cise an option for the pro­duc­tion of AN/WLY‑1 acoustic inter­cep­tion and coun­ter­mea­sures sys­tems and tech­nol­o­gy inser­tion kits, active inter­cept and rang­ing sys­tems, and Archival Media Cen­ter sys­tems, includ­ing pre-cable kits, main­te­nance assis­tance mod­ules, and spares in sup­port of Navy sub­ma­rine pro­grams. Also includ­ed are engi­neer­ing ser­vices and order­ing pro­vi­sions for spare parts. Work will be per­formed in Man­as­sas, Va., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by June 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Whit­ing-Turn­er Con­tract­ing Co., Raleigh, N.C., is being award­ed an $11,629,000 mod­i­fi­ca­tion under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract (N40085-10-C-5309) to exer­cise option one, which pro­vides for the con­struc­tion of a phys­i­cal fit­ness facil­i­ty at Marine Corps Base Camp Leje­une. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for the con­struc­tion of the new facil­i­ty and demo­li­tion of exist­ing Build­ings AS-202 and AS-204 locat­ed on the cor­ner of Cur­tis Road and Ban­croft Street. The total con­tract amount after exer­cise of this option will be $11,744,000. Work will be per­formed in Jack­sonville, N.C., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Feb­ru­ary 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, Mid-Atlantic, Nor­folk, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

L‑3 Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Ser­vices, Inc., Mt. Lau­rel, N.J., was award­ed on Dec. 8 an $8,505,255 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract (N00178-04-D-4143) to exer­cise an option for research and devel­op­ment of elec­tron­ics and com­mu­ni­ca­tions equipment/operational sys­tems in sup­port of the Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Division’s Air Traf­fic Con­trol and Land­ing Sys­tems. Work will be per­formed in Hol­ly­wood, Md. (70 per­cent), and St. Ini­goes, Md. (30 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Novem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity.

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

Alfab, Inc.*, Enter­prise, Ala., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $14,900,000 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment, sole-source con­tract for AM2 pal­let and mat assem­bly. There are no oth­er loca­tions of per­for­mance. Using ser­vices are the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps. There was orig­i­nal­ly one pro­pos­al solicit­ed with one response. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Aug. 24, 2011. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM8E6-11-D-0001).

U.S. TRANSPORTATION COMMAND

Berry Avi­a­tion, Inc., San Mar­cos, Texas, is being award­ed a $14,157,488 task order for fixed wing air­craft, per­son­nel, equip­ment, tools, mate­r­i­al, main­te­nance and super­vi­sion nec­es­sary to per­form pas­sen­ger and car­go air trans­porta­tion ser­vices. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan and will start Dec. 9, 2010, to be com­plet­ed by May 31, 2011. This con­tract was a com­pet­i­tive acqui­si­tion with two bids received. U.S. Trans­porta­tion Com­mand, Direc­torate of Acqui­si­tion, Scott Air Force Base, Ill., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (HTC711-10-D-R018).

AIR FORCE

Eaton Corp., Raleigh, N.C., was award­ed an $11,128,334 con­tract for an unin­ter­rupt­able pow­er sup­ply sys­tem. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. OC-ALC/GHSKA, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8217-11-F-0001).

Hamil­ton Sund­strand, Hamil­ton Sund­strand Pow­er Sys­tems, San Diego, Calif., was award­ed a $7,846,716 con­tract for aux­il­iary pow­er unit oil cool­er kits. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. OC-ALC/GKCK, Tin­ker Air Force Base, Okla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8105-11-C-0001).
