NAVY

Northrop Grum­man Ship­build­ing, New­port News, Va. is being award­ed a $323,611,867 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-09-C-2116) for con­tin­u­a­tion of con­struc­tion prepa­ra­tion efforts for the sec­ond air­craft car­ri­er (CVN 79) of the Ger­ald R. Ford class. Work will pro­vide all ser­vices and mate­r­i­al in prepa­ra­tion for con­struc­tion of CVN 79 includ­ing nec­es­sary research stud­ies; engi­neer­ing; design; relat­ed devel­op­ment efforts; advanced plan­ning; advanced pro­cure­ment for detailed design and pro­cure­ment of long lead mate­r­i­al; advance con­struc­tion; life cycle sup­port; logis­tics data, and oth­er data to sup­port the antic­i­pat­ed fis­cal 2013 ship detail design and con­struc­tion. Work will be per­formed in New­port News, Va., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Octo­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty.

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Lock­heed Mar­tin Aero­nau­tics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being award­ed a $76,041,000 fixed-price-incen­tive-firm mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed advance acqui­si­tion con­tract activ­i­ty (N00019-10-C-0002). This mod­i­fi­ca­tion pro­vides addi­tion­al fund­ing for long lead efforts and mate­ri­als asso­ci­at­ed with the pro­duc­tion and deliv­ery of 42 low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion Lot V F‑35 Joint Strike Fight­er air­craft for the Air Force (22 Con­ven­tion­al Take Off and Land­ing air­craft); the Marine Corps (13 Short Take Off and Ver­ti­cal Land­ing air­craft); and the Navy (7 Car­ri­er Vari­ant air­craft). Work will be per­formed in Fort Worth, Texas (35 per­cent); El Segun­do, Calif. (25 per­cent); Warton, Unit­ed King­dom (20 per­cent); Orlan­do, Fla. (10 per­cent); Nashua, N.H. (5 per­cent); and Bal­ti­more, Md. (5 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in May 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Raytheon Co., McK­in­ney, Texas, is being award­ed $48,900,000 for ceil­ing priced deliv­ery order #0002 under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00383-10-G-006D) for repair of the Advanced Tar­get­ing For­ward Look­ing Infrared (ATFLIR) sys­tem used in sup­port of the F/A 18 air­craft. Work will be per­formed in McK­in­ney, Texas (70 per­cent); Jack­sonville, Fla. (20 per­cent); and El Segun­do, Calif. (10 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Decem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire before the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly award­ed. The Naval Inven­to­ry Con­trol Point, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

WM Robots, LLC, Col­mar, Pa., is being award­ed a $48,640,976 ceil­ing total firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for hand­held low- and non-metal­lic buried impro­vised explo­sive device detec­tors in sup­port of Oper­a­tion Endur­ing Free­dom and asso­ci­at­ed surge require­ment. The con­tract will have a three-year order­ing peri­od for up to 1300 hand­held low-metal­lic sig­na­ture mine detec­tors with parts blocks, train­ing, and operator/maintenance man­u­al devel­op­ment. Work will be per­formed in var­i­ous loca­tions with­in the Unit­ed States, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Decem­ber 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured through full and open com­pe­ti­tion with four offers received. The Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (M67854-11-D-5000).

Lock­heed Mar­tin, Mar­itime Sys­tems and Sen­sors, Moorestown, N.J., is being award­ed an $18,969,315 cost-plus-fixed fee, cost-plus-incen­tive fee, and cost-plus-award fee mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-09-C-5103) to exer­cise an option for fis­cal 2011 Aegis plat­form sys­tems engi­neer­ing agent activ­i­ties and Aegis mod­ern­iza­tion advanced capa­bil­i­ty build engi­neer­ing. The plat­form sys­tems engi­neer­ing agent man­ages the in-ser­vice com­bat sys­tems con­fig­u­ra­tions, as well as the inte­gra­tion of new or upgrad­ed capa­bil­i­ty for the Ticon­dero­ga and Arleigh Burke class of ships. Work will be per­formed in Moorestown, N.J., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds in the amount of $200,000 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Force Pro­tec­tion Indus­tries, Inc., Lad­son, S.C., is being award­ed an $8,836,632 firm-fixed-price mod­i­fi­ca­tion under pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67854-07-D-5031) for 25 field ser­vice rep­re­sen­ta­tives for the instal­la­tion of the rock­et-pro­pelled grenade nets in sup­port of the Mine Resis­tant Ambush Pro­tect­ed vehi­cle fleet. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan, and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Nov 30, 2011. This action is using fis­cal 2011 Oper­a­tions and Main­te­nance Marine Corps funds, which will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Marine Corps Sys­tems Com­mand, Quan­ti­co, Va., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Elec­tric Boat Corp., Gro­ton, Conn., is being award­ed a $7,360,657 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-11-C-2109) for engi­neer­ing and tech­ni­cal design ser­vices to sup­port research and devel­op­ment of advanced sub­ma­rine tech­nolo­gies for cur­rent and future sub­ma­rine plat­forms. Work will be per­formed in Gro­ton, Conn., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Octo­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

Tex­tron Sys­tems Corp., Wilm­ing­ton, Mass., was award­ed a $257,737,338 con­tract which will pro­vide for 512 sen­sor-fuzed weapons CBU-105 pro­duc­tion units and 44 train­ing units. This con­tract sup­ports for­eign mil­i­tary sales to India. At this time, $126,291,295 has been oblig­at­ed. AAC/EBJK, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8682-11-C-0044).

Raytheon Tech­ni­cal Ser­vices Co., LLC, Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., was award­ed a $31,144,975 con­tract which will pro­vide for one com­mon cryp­to solu­tion for Air Force, Army and Navy devices, sup­port radio in high fre­quen­cy, ultra high fre­quen­cy, very high fre­quen­cy, super high fre­quen­cy, extreme­ly high fre­quen­cy and use Nation­al Secu­ri­ty Agency type cer­ti­fied repro­gram­ma­ble cryp­to­graph­ic entire inter­im con­trac­tor sup­port, stud­ies and analy­ses, and data rights. At this time, $4,800,000 has been oblig­at­ed. ESC/HNCK, San Anto­nio, Texas, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8307-11-C-1000).

Boe­ing Satel­lite Sys­tems Inc., El Segun­do, Calif., was award­ed a $26,399,665 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will exer­cise the option for the wide­band glob­al satel­lite com­mu­ni­ca­tion satel­lite six launch ser­vices. This option mod­i­fi­ca­tion is ful­ly fund­ed by the Aus­tralian gov­ern­ment. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. SMC/MC, El Segun­do, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8808-06-C-0001; P00109). 

JGB Enter­pris­es, Inc., Liv­er­pool, N.Y., was award­ed a $15,608,028 con­tract which will pro­vide for indus­tri­al oper­a­tional and flight line exten­sion, water pro­duc­tion reverse osmo­sis water purifi­ca­tion unit. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. WR-ALC/GRVK, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8533-10-D-0006).

Carl Zeiss, LLC, Peabody, Mass., was award­ed a 7,609,685 con­tract which will pro­vide the cir­cuit analy­sis tool pro­gram to devel­op a cir­cuit edit­ing tool. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. AFRL/PKDB, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8650-11-C-7100).

Boe­ing Satel­lite Sys­tems, Inc., El Segun­do, Calif., was award­ed a $6,016,723 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion which will pro­vide side­band glob­al satel­lite com­mu­ni­ca­tions Block II con­tract to pur­chase a spare bat­tery for satel­lites five and six, or as test bat­tery for the Block II fol­low on con­tract depend­ing on satel­lites meet­ing launch sched­ules along with anom­alies that would require replace­ment of exist­ing bat­ter­ies with this new­ly acquired one. At this time, the entire amount has been oblig­at­ed. SMC/PKJ, Los Ange­les Air Force Base, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8808-06-C-0001; P00094). 

DEFENSE LOGISTICS AGENCY

U.S. Food Ser­vice, Inc. (Salem Divi­sion), Salem, Mo., is being award­ed a max­i­mum $26,203,388 firm-fixed-price, indef­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for food ser­vice dis­tri­b­u­tion in Kansas, Mo., and the sur­round­ing area. The oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Tope­ka, Kan. Using ser­vices are the Army, Air Force and fed­er­al civil­ian agen­cies. There were orig­i­nal­ly 178 pro­pos­als solicit­ed with two respons­es. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Aug. 13, 2011. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Troop Sup­port, Philadel­phia, Pa., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SPM300-11-D-3431).

Ash­land, Inc., Dublin, Ohio, is being award­ed a max­i­mum $7,884,114 fixed-price with eco­nom­ic price adjust­ment con­tract for fuel sys­tem icing inhibitor. The oth­er loca­tion of per­for­mance is Hah­nville, La. Using ser­vice is the Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy. There were orig­i­nal­ly 20 pro­pos­als solicit­ed with four respons­es. The date of per­for­mance com­ple­tion is Jan. 30, 2012. The Defense Logis­tics Agency Ener­gy is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (SP0600-11-D-0750).
