USAUS Military contracts for FY10

AIR FORCE

Advanced Aero­space Engi­neer­ing Con­cepts, La Verne, Calif. (FA8530-11-D-001); Alaba­ma Air­craft Indus­tries, Inc., Birm­ing­ham, Ala. (FA8530-11-D-002); Engi­neer­ing & Soft­ware Sys­tems Solu­tions, Inc., San Diego, Calif. (FA8530-11-D-004); Sci­en­tif­ic Research Corp., Atlanta, Ga. (FA8530-11-D-005); and Sup­port Sys­tems Asso­ciates, Inc., Mel­bourne, Fla. (FA8530-11-D-006), were award­ed a max­i­mum $402,000,000 indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty con­tract for poten­tial require­ments for all Air Force-man­aged weapons sys­tems. At this time, $2,500 for each con­tract has been oblig­at­ed. WR-ALC/PKXE, Robins Air Force Base, Ga., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty.

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Lock­heed Mar­tin Aero­nau­tics Co., Mari­et­ta, Ga., was award­ed a $326,944,466 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for C‑5M reli­a­bil­i­ty enhance­ment and re-engi­neer­ing pro­gram, low-rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion Lot 4 mate­r­i­al and fab­ri­ca­tion of mate­r­i­al required to sup­port the mod­i­fi­ca­tion of the sev­en Lot 4 air­craft. At this time, $326,944,466 has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WLSK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8625-07-C-6471; P00041). 

The Boe­ing Co., Long Beach, Calif., was award­ed a $64,564,472 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for the con­tin­ued per­for­mance of the C‑17 Globe­mas­ter III sus­tain­ment part­ner­ship for the NAMA and Qatar air­craft. At this time, $32,489,011 has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WMLK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8614-04-C-2004).

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Mari­et­ta, Ga., was award­ed a $60,960,788 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for C‑5M reli­a­bil­i­ty enhance­ment and re-engi­neer­ing pro­gram, low-rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion Lot 4 ini­tial spares for the acqui­si­tion of spare items for the ini­tial sus­tain­ment of sev­en Lot 4 air­craft. At this time, $60,960,788 has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WLSK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8625-07-C-6471; P00058). 

Hawk­er Beechcraft Corp., Wichi­ta, Kan., was award­ed a $37,614,080 con­tract which will pro­vide five Hawk­er Beechcraft King Air 350 ERs. At this time, $37,614,080 has been oblig­at­ed. 645 AESG/WIJKD, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8620-11-C-4011).

The Boe­ing Co., Inte­grat­ed Defense Sys­tems, Wichi­ta, Kan., was award­ed a $19,090,306 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for the C‑130 avion­ic mod­ern­iza­tion pro­gram low-rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion (LRIP) to sup­port LRIP Lot 2 for two C‑130 AMP kits at Warn­er-Robins ALC. At this time, $19,090,306 has been oblig­at­ed. Aero­nau­ti­cal Sys­tems Cen­ter, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8625-08-C-6481; P00021). 

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Lock­heed Mar­tin, Fort Worth, Texas, was award­ed a $15,244,160 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion for the pro­cure­ment of the instal­la­tion of reli­a­bil­i­ty and maintabil­i­ty mat­u­ra­tion pro­gram, engi­neer­ing change pro­pos­als on the field­ed F‑22 air­craft. At this time, $15,244,160 has been oblig­at­ed. ASC/WWUK, Wright-Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8611-08-C-2897; P00060). 

Booz Allen Hamil­ton, Inc., McLean, Va., was award­ed a $10,435,562.98 con­tract mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pro­vide sys­tems engi­neer­ing and inte­gra­tion sup­port to the Mil­i­tary Satel­lite Com­mu­ni­ca­tion Wing, Space and Mis­sile Cen­ter, in sup­port of the GBS/JTEO office through Oct. 21, 2011. At this time, $1,558,834 has been oblig­at­ed. SMC/MCSWPK, El Segun­do, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8808-08-F-003; P00034). 

The Air Force is final­iz­ing a ter­mi­na­tion for con­ve­nience of the gov­ern­ment with The Boe­ing Co., Seat­tle, Wash., for -$64,652,791. The mod­i­fi­ca­tion will result in a cred­it to the gov­ern­ment of $30,052,791. At this time, -$30,052,791 has been oblig­at­ed. ESC/HBGK, Hanscom Air Force Base, Mass., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (F33657-03-C-2051).

ARMY

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics C4 Sys­tems, Inc., Taunton, Mass., was award­ed on Oct. 19 a $187,000,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This is a firm-fixed-price mod­i­fi­ca­tion to con­tract DAAH01-03-D-0029 to raise the ceil­ing from $2,498,000,000 by $187,000,000 to $2,685,000,000. Items to be pro­cured under this con­tract are “Com­mon Hard­ware Sys­tems — 3.” Work is to be per­formed in Taunton, Mass., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of May 30, 2013. Bids were solicit­ed via the Inter­ac­tive Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties Page web­site with one bid received. CECOM Con­tract­ing Cen­ter, Aberdeen Prov­ing Ground, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (DAAH01-03-D-0029).

GM GDLS Defense Group, LLC, Ster­ling Heights, Mich., was award­ed on Oct. 15 a $69,873,997 firm-fixed-price con­tract for an addi­tion­al quan­ti­ty of 46 Stryk­er vehi­cles. Work is to be per­formed in Lon­don, Cana­da (50 per­cent), and Annis­ton, Ala. (50 per­cent), with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Feb. 29, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. TACOM, CCTA-AIP, War­ren, Mich., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W56HZV-07-D-M112).

Raytheon Co., Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., was award­ed on Oct. 15 a $47,000,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract for 250 Jack­al pas­sive infrared defeat sys­tems. This action is a part of the Rapid Acqui­si­tion Author­i­ty to respond to com­bat emer­gen­cies and has been signed by the Sec­re­tary of Defense. Work is to be per­formed in Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 15, 2011. One bid was solicit­ed with one bid received. JM&L LCMC, Picatin­ny Arse­nal, N.J., CCJM-CC, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (W15QKN-II-C-0001).

AeroVi­ron­ment, Inc., Simi Val­ley, Calif., was award­ed on Oct. 15 a $17,197,960 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract. This let­ter con­tract estab­lish­es not-to-exceed amounts for Puma all-envi­ron­ment capa­ble vari­ant con­trac­tor logis­tics sup­port, train­ing and account­ing for con­tract ser­vices in sup­port of Joint Urgent Oper­a­tional Need State­ment CC-0289, enti­tled, “Unmanned Air­craft Sys­tems for Route Clear­ance.” Work is to be per­formed in Simi Val­ley, Calif., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 14, 2011. lAP World Ser­vices, Pana­ma City, Fla., was award­ed on Oct. 15 a $12,401,145 firm-fixed-price con­tract. This will exer­cise the sec­ond option, third year of ser­vice, for the oper­a­tion and main­te­nance of the elec­tri­cal pow­er grids at For­ward Oper­at­ing Bases Saler­no and Sha­rana. Work is to be per­formed in north­ern Afghanistan, with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 15, 2012. Bids were solicit­ed via the Fed­er­al Busi­ness Oppor­tu­ni­ties web­site with five bids received. Raytheon, Andover, Mass., was award­ed on Oct. 15 a $7,626,474 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for the repair and recap­i­tal­iza­tion of Patri­ot mis­sile sys­tem assem­blies and sub-assem­blies. Work is to be per­formed at Andover, Mass., with an esti­mat­ed com­ple­tion date of Oct. 14, 2012. One bid was solicit­ed and one received. Sodexo Man­age­ment, Inc., Gaithers­burg, Md., was award­ed on Oct. 14 a $8,312,600 firm-fixed-price con­tract for nutri­tion care ser­vices at nine mil­i­tary train­ing facil­i­ties across the Unit­ed States. NAVY

Gen­er­al Dynam­ics Elec­tric Boat, Gro­ton, Conn., is being award­ed a $14,552,039 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-07-C-2103) for reac­tor plant plan­ning yard ser­vices for nuclear-pow­ered sub­marines and sup­port yard ser­vices for the Navy’s moored train­ing ships. The con­trac­tor will fur­nish, fab­ri­cate or acquire such mate­ri­als, sup­plies and ser­vices as may be nec­es­sary to per­form the func­tions of the plan­ning yard for reac­tor plants and asso­ci­at­ed por­tions of the propul­sion plants for nuclear pow­ered sub­marines. This con­tract will be incre­men­tal­ly fund­ed with $9,459,707 to be oblig­at­ed at the time of award. Work will be per­formed in Gro­ton, Conn. (95 per­cent), and Charleston, S.C. (5 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton Navy Yard, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity.
