Rolls-Royce Defense Ser­vices, Inc., Indi­anapo­lis, Ind., is being award­ed an $89,119,156 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price require­ments con­tract (N00019-09-D-0002) to exer­cise an option for inter­me­di­ate and depot lev­el main­te­nance and relat­ed sup­port for in-ser­vice T‑45 F405-RR-401 Adour engines under the pow­er-by-the-hour® arrange­ment. In addi­tion, this mod­i­fi­ca­tion pro­vides for inven­to­ry con­trol, sus­tain­ing engi­neer­ing and con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment, as well as inte­grat­ed logis­tics sup­port and required engi­neer­ing ele­ments nec­es­sary to sup­port the F405-RR-401 engine at the orga­ni­za­tion lev­el. Jor­dan, New­port News, Va., is being award­ed a $57,289,600 firm-fixed-price con­tract for con­struc­tion of a hos­pi­tal addi­tion and mag­net­ic res­o­nance imag­ing (MRI) addi­tion at Marine Corps Base, Camp Leje­une. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for con­struc­tion of a hos­pi­tal out­pa­tient clin­ic includ­ing a mul­ti-sto­ry clin­i­cal addi­tion to the exist­ing Naval Hos­pi­tal. The addi­tion will house hos­pi­tal pri­ma­ry, urgent, and emer­gency care, phar­ma­cy, and patient admin­is­tra­tion spaces. The Naval Hos­pi­tal ren­o­va­tion and MRI addi­tion project ren­o­vates selec­tive depart­ments of the Naval Hos­pi­tal and con­structs a MRI addi­tion to meet mis­sion require­ments in sup­port of the ben­e­fi­cia­ries in the Marine Corp Base Camp Leje­une catche­ment area. This project will cor­rect defi­cien­cies in exist­ing depart­ments to improve patient access to care and effi­cien­cy of hos­pi­tal oper­a­tions due to cur­rent defi­cien­cies in depart­men­tal adja­cen­cies, lay­out, and patient/staff cir­cu­la­tion. Hon­ey­well Tech­nol­o­gy Solu­tions Inc., Jack­sonville, Fla., is being award­ed $42,409,675 for cost-plus-award-fee task order #0034 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (M67004-09-D-0020) for prepo­si­tion­ing and Marine Corps logis­tics sup­port ser­vices for Blount Island Com­mand. F&S Mechan­i­cal and Plumb­ing Ser­vices, Inc.*, Tyrone, Ga., is being award­ed a $25,637,205 firm-fixed-price con­tract for con­struc­tion of the Ver­ti­cal Marine Medi­um Tiltro­tor Train­ing Squadron 204 main­te­nance hangar, Phase 3, at Marine Corps Base Camp Leje­une. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for the design and con­struc­tion of a mul­ti-sto­ry air­craft main­te­nance hangar addi­tion, to pro­vide hangar bay, shop space, flight line oper­a­tions and main­te­nance func­tions. The hangar addi­tion will join the exist­ing air­craft park­ing apron, and will include a mul­ti-sto­ry crew/equipment/administration area at the rear of the hangar bay. This project will include the demo­li­tion of Build­ing AS-504. It will also pro­vide for the demo­li­tion of the top por­tion of the exist­ing Air Traf­fic Con­trol Tow­er and extend it 20 feet high­er. Work will be per­formed in Jack­sonville, N.C., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep. 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. R. A. Burch Con­struc­tion Co., Inc., Ramona, Calif., is being award­ed $22,498,508 for firm-fixed-price task order #0002 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed mul­ti­ple award con­struc­tion con­tract (N62473-10-D-5410) for design and con­struc­tion of Sta­tion Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Facil­i­ty and Infra­struc­ture at Marine Corps Air Ground Com­bat Cen­ter, Twen­ty­nine Palms. This project con­sists of a sin­gle-sto­ry facil­i­ty and includes a con­crete mason­ry unit build­ing with under­ground com­mu­ni­ca­tions vault and equip­ment ele­va­tor, raised access floor­ing, emer­gency gen­er­a­tors, bat­tery back-up, and unin­ter­rupt­able pow­er sup­ply sys­tems. The project includes a gen­er­al pur­pose ware­house with a pho­to­volta­ic solar sys­tem on the roof, an open stor­age area, and a new out­side source plant (OSP) cabling infra­struc­ture, includ­ing inter­con­nec­tions to exist­ing OSP infra­struc­tures. This project also includes pro­vi­sions to ren­o­vate and con­vert build­ing 1555 into admin­is­tra­tive spaces and demol­ish build­ings 1527 and 1529. The task order also con­tains one planned mod­i­fi­ca­tion, which if issued, would increase cumu­la­tive task order val­ue to $25,294,508. Work will be per­formed in Twen­ty­nine Palms, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Oct. 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Amer­i­can K‑9 Inter­dic­tion*, Car­roll­ton, Va., is being award­ed a $18,426,926 firm-fixed price con­tract for Impro­vised Explo­sive Device Detec­tor Dog (IDD) train­ing, sus­tain­ment & con­di­tion­ing and han­dler /team inte­gra­tion train­ing. The con­tract will also pro­vide for ken­nel­ing of the IDD and basic care dur­ing the peri­od of per­for­mance. This con­tract con­tains an options, which if exer­cised will bring the con­tract val­ue to $34,659,851. Work will be per­formed in Hartsville, S.C. (60 per­cent), Carrsville, Va. (30 per­cent), and at team inte­gra­tion train­ing venues des­ig­nat­ed by the U.S. Marine Corps (cur­rent­ly Twen­ty-Nine Palms, Calif.) pri­or to deploy­ment (10 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Sept. 29, 2011, and con­tin­ue to Sept 2012 if the option is exer­cised. Con­tract funds in the amount of $18,426,926 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Arch­bald, Pa., is being award­ed a $15,593,210 firm-fixed-price con­tract for the pro­cure­ment of 5,095 enhanced laser guid­ed train­ing rounds. Work will be per­formed in Arch­bald, Pa., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in March 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Northrop Grum­man Ship­build­ing, Pascagoula, Miss., is being award­ed a $12,180,103 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-07-C-2309) for addi­tion­al infra­struc­ture improve­ments to NGSB ship­yards. This mod­i­fi­ca­tion is for addi­tion­al infra­struc­ture improve­ments at Northrop Grum­man Ship­build­ing Gulf Coast ship­yards, which were dam­aged by Hur­ri­cane Kat­ri­na in cal­en­dar year 2005. The infra­struc­ture improve­ments are: a ship clean­ing sys­tem for the NGSB facil­i­ty in Pascagoula, Miss.; accu­ra­cy con­trol equip­ment for the NGSB facil­i­ty in Pascagoula, Miss.; a Haeusler Col­lar Form­ing work cell for the NGSB facil­i­ty in Pascagoula, Miss.; a mate­r­i­al han­dling sys­tem for the NGSB facil­i­ty in Pascagoula, Miss.; cable plant man­age­ment sys­tem for the NGSB facil­i­ties in Pascagoula, Miss. and New Orleans, La.; spe­cial­ized flush­ing equip­ment for the NGSB facil­i­ty in Pascagoula, Miss.; and a five axis saw for the NGSB facil­i­ty in Gulf­port, Miss. The con­tract­ed improve­ments at NGSS facil­i­ties are part of a series of con­tracts with Gulf Coast ship­builders to be award­ed under Sec­tion 2203 of Pub­lic Law 109–234, emer­gency sup­ple­men­tal appro­pri­a­tions for Defense, The Glob­al War on Ter­ror and Hur­ri­cane Recov­ery 2006. The pur­pose is to expe­dite recov­ery of ship­build­ing capa­bil­i­ty in areas affect­ed by Hur­ri­cane Kat­ri­na by repair­ing and / or replac­ing ship­build­ing facil­i­ties, to make last­ing improve­ment in ship­yard facil­i­ties that would result in mea­sur­able cost reduc­tions in cur­rent and future Navy ship­build­ing con­tracts, and to improve the abil­i­ty of ship­build­ing facil­i­ties on the Gulf Coast to with­stand dam­age from poten­tial hur­ri­canes or oth­er nat­ur­al dis­as­ters. Work will be per­formed in Pascagoula, Miss. (75 per­cent), Gulf­port, Miss. (21 per­cent), New Orleans, La. (4 per­cent), and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by August 2013. Earl Indus­tries, LLC, Portsmouth, Va., is being award­ed a $12,151,490 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00025-06-C-9000) for the FY11 planned incre­men­tal avail­abil­i­ty for main­te­nance and repair of USS Eisen­how­er (CVN 69). This mod­i­fi­ca­tion increas­es the total con­tract val­ue to $135,969,466. Work will be per­formed in Portsmouth, Va., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by April 2011. Vir­tex­co Cor­po­ra­tion, Nor­folk, Va., is being award­ed a $12,365,000 firm-fixed-price con­tract for con­struc­tion of the Mod­i­fi­ca­tion of K‑Ranges Phase II at Marine Corps Base Camp Leje­une. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for the mod­i­fi­ca­tion, recon­fig­ur­ing and reori­ent­ing of an exist­ing K‑Range com­plex. Pri­ma­ry facil­i­ties include sta­tion­ary infantry tar­gets, mov­ing infantry tar­get, sta­tion­ary armor tar­gets, mov­ing armor tar­gets, facades, bunkers, con­trol tow­ers, obser­va­tion tow­ers, com­bined facil­i­ties (to include operations/storage, instruc­tion, stor­age, field ser­vice head, and main­te­nance), cov­ered mess areas, cov­ered bleach­ers, bivouac areas, sup­port by fire build­ing, and ammu­ni­tion holding/issue areas, down­range bunkers and trench enhance­ments. 3e Tech­nolo­gies Inter­na­tion­al, Inc., Rockville, Md., is being award­ed an $8,989,124 cost-plus-fixed fee con­tract to design, devel­op, imple­ment, test, deliv­er and install a func­tion­al and effi­cient facil­i­ties crit­i­cal infra­struc­ture con­trol and mon­i­tor­ing sys­tem to increase infra­struc­ture readi­ness and opti­mize crit­i­cal sys­tems, includ­ing ener­gy and oth­er sys­tems. The con­tract includes options which, if exer­cised, would bring the cumu­la­tive val­ue of this con­tract to $47,084,204. Work will be per­formed in Rockville, Md., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by Sep­tem­ber 2011. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. VT Hal­ter Marine, Inc., Pascagoula, Miss., is being award­ed an $8,436,603 firm-fixed-price con­tract for infra­struc­ture improve­ments to their ship­yard in Pascagoula, Miss. This con­tract is for infra­struc­ture improve­ments at VT Hal­ter Marine’s Pascagoula, Mis­sis­sip­pi ship­yard, which was dam­aged by Hur­ri­cane Kat­ri­na in cal­en­dar year 2005. The infra­struc­ture improve­ments are for ship­yard paving, util­i­ty improve­ments, crane rail exten­sions and the pro­cure­ment of addi­tion­al crawler and over­head cranes. Bell Boe­ing Joint Project Office, Amar­il­lo, Texas, is being award­ed a $7,349,344 firm-fixed-price deliv­ery order against a pre­vi­ous­ly issued basic order­ing agree­ment (N68335-08-G-0002) for the pro­cure­ment of oper­a­tional test pro­gram sets (OTPSs), which includes pro­duc­tion copies of OTPS, for the Air Force and Marine Corps, in addi­tion to pro­cure­ment of on-site ver­i­fi­ca­tion (OSV) for the Marine Corps.
