SIDI 2012 Programme Includes ‘Entrepreneurship 101’ Workshop, Led by Saudi Aramco

SIDI Pro­gramme includes an inter­ac­tive work­shop ‘Entre­pre­neur­ship 101’ tak­ing place on 25 March 2012, which will be led by Fahad A. Al-Semari, Direc­tor, Sau­di Aram­co Entre­pre­neur­ship Cen­tre. Sau­di Aram­co is play­ing a key role both in the work­shop and with­in the forum main agen­da which will direct­ly pro­mote part­ner­ships and clus­ter devel­op­ment.

Sau­di Inno­va­tion, Diver­si­fi­ca­tion & Invest­ment (SIDI) 2012 is tak­ing place in Riyadh, Sau­di Ara­bia on 25–27 March 2012, held under the esteemed sup­port & offi­cial­ly opened by: H.E. Dr Taw­fig F Al-Rabi­ah, Min­is­ter of Com­merce & Indus­try. The event will focus on ‘indus­try led job cre­ation’ and ‘Saudiza­tion’, the role of the pri­vate sec­tor and the incen­tives and oppor­tu­ni­ties being imple­ment­ed by the Gov­ern­ment and stake­hold­ers.

Sabic’s for­mer EVP for Tech­nol­o­gy and Inno­va­tion, Dr Abdul­rah­man Al-Ubaid will add his for­mi­da­ble knowl­edge and expe­ri­ence to the agen­da as the CEO Man­ag­ing Direc­tor of SADIG (Sau­di Ara­bi­an Devel­op­ment and Inno­va­tion Group) — his expe­ri­ence nur­tur­ing tech­nol­o­gy and inno­va­tion for the com­mer­cial sec­tor will direct­ly ben­e­fit young Saudi’s.

SIDI will focus on indus­tri­al devel­op­ment and local con­tent strate­gies that will add real com­mer­cial val­ue to the pri­vate sec­tor and that will diver­si­fy the eco­nom­ic out­look of the King­dom. SIDI looks at how local­i­sa­tion strate­gies direct­ly impact tech­nol­o­gy trans­fer and the devel­op­ment of tal­ent and lead­er­ship.
