Northrop Grumman Awarded Contract to Perform Repairs for U.S. Navy’s SH-60 and EA-6B Aircraft

WOODLAND HILLS, Calif. (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Northrop Grum­man Cor­po­ra­tion (NYSE:NOC) has been award­ed a con­tract by the U.S. Naval Sup­ply Sys­tems Com­mand (NAVSUP) to repair avion­ics equip­ment on the SH-60 Sea­hawk heli­copter and the EA-6B Prowler jet.

Under a five-year, fixed-price con­tract val­ued at near­ly $19 mil­lion with NAVSUP Weapon Sys­tems Sup­port, Northrop Grum­man will repair the ASN-150 and ASN-123 tac­ti­cal navigation/tactical data sys­tems, includ­ing Doppler Radar avion­ics equip­ment, on the SH-60 and EA-6B air­craft. Northrop Grum­man has been the sole provider of depot-lev­el repair ser­vices for the ASN-150 and ASN-123 since the prod­ucts’ incep­tions in the 1980s.

Northrop Grum­man offers cus­tomized sup­port solu­tions for cur­rent and lega­cy mil­i­tary and com­mer­cial sys­tems, includ­ing their relat­ed test equip­ment, over­haul and repair, field engi­neer­ing ser­vices, inven­to­ry and spares man­age­ment, and tech­nol­o­gy refresh. Repair activ­i­ty for the indef­i­nite deliv­ery, indef­i­nite quan­ti­ty con­tract will occur at Northrop Grumman’s facil­i­ties in Wood­land Hills, Calif., and Salt Lake City. 

Siko­rsky Air­craft Cor­po­ra­tion, a sub­sidiary of Unit­ed Tech­nolo­gies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), man­u­fac­tures the SH-60 Sea­hawk heli­copter, which can deploy aboard cruis­ers, destroy­ers, amphibi­ous assault ships, frigates and oth­er air-capa­ble plat­forms to con­duct anti­sub­ma­rine war­fare, search and res­cue, and car­go lift, among oth­er capabilities.
