EU — Council conclusions on Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP)

82. The Coun­cil not­ed that in accor­dance with Arti­cle 36 of the Treaty on Euro­pean Union, the Euro­pean Par­lia­ment was reg­u­lar­ly informed of CFSP/CSDP developments.

83. The Coun­cil wel­comed the con­tin­ued inter­est shown by the Euro­pean Par­lia­ment as well as Nation­al par­lia­ments of the Mem­ber States in ongo­ing CSDP mis­sions, oper­a­tions and activ­i­ties. It under­lined the impor­tance of inter­par­lia­men­tary co-oper­a­tion also in the field of CSDP and recalled Pro­to­col 1, annexed to the Lis­bon Treaty, on the role of nation­al par­lia­ments in the Euro­pean Union
