Department of Defense Awards Raytheon Nearly $100 Million in Air-Launched Weapons Contracts

TUCSON, Ariz., Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ — The Depart­ment of Defense award­ed Raytheon Com­pa­ny (NYSE: RTN) two sep­a­rate air-launched weapons con­tracts with a com­bined val­ue of near­ly $100 mil­lion.

The U.S. Navy award­ed Raytheon an $84.3 mil­lion mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract to pro­duce the Joint Stand­off Weapon C‑1.
The U.S. Air Force award­ed Raytheon a $15 mil­lion firm-fixed-price con­tract for pro­duc­tion of the laser-guid­ed Mav­er­ick mis­sile.
Both con­tracts were announced by the Depart­ment of Defense on Dec. 19.
