5th Annual ISDEF International Defence and Security Expo

The exhibition will display the latest innovations from the Defence and HLS Market. From both Israel and abroad.

ISDEF – (Israel Defence) Exhibition will be held this year on October 31st through November 2nd at the Israel Trade Fairs and Convention Centre in Tel Aviv. This is the fifth consecutive year for the growing exhibition, which has expanded to now include HLS. It is considered to be the leading defence exhibition in Israel and the surrounding region, and well recognized as such around the world. The exhibition highlights a variety of products, technological developments and innovations from Israel and abroad.

9/11 brought about a new kind of reality to the international arena. Terrorism and asymmetrical warfare have become a global phenomena making it imperative for international cooperation. The challenges that were once regionally based are no longer as such, and the necessity for a platform for the international defense and security industries and decision makers is one of great importance. Not only does it present solutions, but it created a forum for bilateral and multilateral collaborations.

The exhibition brings together key industry players from various sectors. From Police, Military Officials, and the Intelligence Community, to manufacturers, developers and engineers, the environment is undoubtedly a prime opportunity for viewing the latest technological innovations and enhancing business cooperation.

ISDEF has grown annually by more than 30%. 90 companies exhibited last year, and among those, 45% of them were from overseas. Among the 5,000 visitors, 1,500 came from abroad, representing 45 countries. This year, the number of visitors is expected to nearly double.

Furthermore, the growing number of official defense delegations participating, emphasizes the importance that governments and organizations put on the Expo. Included among the delegations expected at ISDEF are; High Level Official delegations from the PLA of China, a delegation from the-War Plans and International Affairs Branch from the Philippine Army, a high ranking delegation from the (SPF) Singapore Police Force, and many others from various countries such as; Peru, Brazil, S. Korea, U.S.A. France, Nigeria, India and Finland. The delegates will meet with exhibitors, view first hand some of the latest Israeli innovations developed, and to examine the opportunities for international cooperation.

Tomer Avnon, President of the Israel Defence Exhibition says that this year’s exhibit will host high ranking Israeli officials such as the Minister of Home Front Defence, Major General (ret.) Matan Vilnai, The Deputy Director of Sibat, Major General of Home Front Command Eyal Eisenberg, The Director General of MADA, Israels National Emergency Service.
