USAUS Military contracts for FY12

NAVY

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp, Bal­ti­more, Md., is being award­ed a $33,649,198 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-11-C-2300) to exer­cise options for spe­cial stud­ies, analy­ses, review and Lit­toral Com­bat Ship (LCS) class ser­vices. This effort will assess engi­neer­ing and pro­duc­tion chal­lenges and eval­u­ate the cost and sched­ule risks from afford­abil­i­ty efforts to reduce LCS acqui­si­tion and life­cy­cle costs. Work will be per­formed in Hamp­ton, Va. (32 per­cent); Marinette, Wis. (27 per­cent); Moorestown, N.J. (22 per­cent); and Wash­ing­ton, D.C. (19 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plete by March 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Austal USA, Mobile, Ala., is being award­ed a $19,692,295 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-11-C-2301) to exer­cise options for spe­cial stud­ies, analy­ses, review and class ser­vice efforts for the Lit­toral Com­bat Ship (LCS) pro­gram. This effort will assess engi­neer­ing and pro­duc­tion chal­lenges and eval­u­ate the cost and sched­ule risks from afford­abil­i­ty efforts to reduce LCS acqui­si­tion and life­cy­cle costs. Work will be per­formed in Mobile, Ala. (72 per­cent) and Pitts­field, Mass. (28 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plete by March 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Research and Engi­neer­ing Devel­op­ment, LLC*, Lex­ing­ton Park, Md., is being award­ed a $16,816,616 cost-plus-fixed-fee, per­for­mance-based con­tract to pro­vide acqui­si­tion, engi­neer­ing, analy­sis, devel­op­ment and inte­gra­tion ser­vices in sup­port of irreg­u­lar war­fare efforts spon­sored by the Naval Air Sys­tems Command’s Human Sys­tems Depart­ment (AIR‑4.6). The esti­mat­ed lev­el of effort for this con­tract is 154,906 man-hours. Work will be per­formed in Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Sep­tem­ber 2012. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. This con­tract was not com­pet­i­tive­ly pro­cured pur­suant to FAR 6.302–1. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (N00421-12-C-0029).

FLIR Sys­tems, Inc., Wilsonville, Ore., is being award­ed a $10,408,342 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract (N68335-11-C-0212) to exer­cise an option to pro­cure 14 380-High Def­i­n­i­tion sur­veil­lance sys­tems in sup­port of the Per­sis­tent Ground Sur­veil­lance Sys­tem Pro­gram that is cur­rent­ly field­ed for the Army. Work will be per­formed in Afghanistan (70 per­cent); and Yuma, Ariz. (30 per­cent); and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in April 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air War­fare Cen­ter Air­craft Divi­sion, Lake­hurst, N.J. is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grum­man Elec­tron­ic Sys­tems, Linthicum Heights, Md. is being award­ed an $87.8 mil­lion dol­lar firm fixed price con­tract a For­eign Mil­i­tary Sales (FMS) pro­gram which will pro­vide an AN/APG- 68 (V) 9 radar sys­tems for the Roy­al Thai Air Force (6), the Repub­lic of Iraq (22) and the Roy­al Air Force of Oman (15) for a total of 43 radar sys­tems. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is Linthicum Heights, Md. Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed Mar. 31, 2015. ASC/WWMK, Wright Pat­ter­son Air Force Base, Ohio is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8615-12-C-6047).
