USAUS Military contracts for FY12

DEFENSE THREAT REDUCATION AGENCY

Medi­Vec­tor, Inc., Boston, Mass., is being award­ed a $138,500,000 cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for advance devel­op­ment of emerg­ing infec­tious dis­eases med­ical coun­ter­mea­sure drug for the Fed­er­al Drug Admin­is­tra­tion licen­sure. Work will be per­formed in Boston, Mass., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed April 2016. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Solic­i­ta­tion was issued for full and open com­pe­ti­tion and four pro­pos­als were received. The Defense Threat Red­u­ca­tion Agency, Fort Belvoir, Va., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (HDTRA1-12-C-0031).

NAVY

Timken Gears & Ser­vices, Inc., King of Prus­sia, Pa., is being award­ed a $74,451,888 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00024-10-C-2310) to exer­cise an option to pro­cure three DDG 51 class main reduc­tion gear (MRG) shipsets. MRGs will be used for Arleigh Burke (DDG 51) class guid­ed-mis­sile destroy­ers pro­cured in fis­cal 2012 and 2013. The equip­ment pro­cured via this acqui­si­tion effort will be pro­vid­ed as gov­ern­ment-fur­nished equip­ment to the DDG 51 class ship­builders. Work will be per­formed in San­ta Fe Springs, Calif. (68 per­cent); River­side, Mo. (10 per­cent); New Cas­tle, Del. (7 per­cent); Latrobe, Pa. (2 per­cent); St. Augus­tine, Fla. (1 per­cent); Spring Grove, Ill. (1 per­cent); Fitch­burg, Mass. (1 per­cent); Cor­ry, Pa. (1 per­cent); Erie, Pa. (1 per­cent); King of Prus­sia, Pa. (1 per­cent); Anti­go, Wis. (1 per­cent); and oth­er var­i­ous loca­tions with less than one per­cent (6 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by March 2015. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Sea Sys­tems Com­mand, Wash­ing­ton, D.C., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Lock­heed Mar­tin Aero­nau­tics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being award­ed a $56,329,396 cost reim­burse­ment mod­i­fi­ca­tion to pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed con­tract (N00019-10-C-0002) to pro­vide addi­tion­al fund­ing for the sus­tain­ment effort nec­es­sary to meet the require­ments and deliv­ery sched­ule for the F‑35 Low Rate Ini­tial Pro­duc­tion V. Work will be per­formed in Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. (60 per­cent); Fort Worth, Texas (15 per­cent); El Segun­do, Calif. (5 per­cent); Warton, Unit­ed King­dom (5 per­cent); Orlan­do, Fla. (5 per­cent); Nashua, N.H. (5 per­cent); and Bal­ti­more, Md. (5 per­cent). Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in May 2012. Con­tract funds in the amount of $18,707,400 will expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Lock­heed Mar­tin Corp., Lock­heed Mar­tin Aero­nau­tics Co., Fort Worth, Texas, is being award­ed a $38,599,999 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to the pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion Lot 6 advance acqui­si­tion con­tract (N00019-11-C-0083) to pro­vide addi­tion­al fund­ing for the pro­cure­ment of long lead items for F‑35 Light­ning II Joint Strike Fight­er low rate ini­tial pro­duc­tion con­ven­tion­al take-off and land­ing (CTOL) air­craft for the Air Force, and the gov­ern­ments of Italy and Aus­tralia. Work, which will be per­formed in Fort Worth, Texas, is nec­es­sary to pro­tect the deliv­ery sched­ules of CTOL air­craft planned for deliv­ery through Jan­u­ary 2015. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

The Boe­ing Co., St. Louis, Mo., is being award­ed a $12,588,056 mod­i­fi­ca­tion to a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed firm-fixed-price con­tract (N00019-10-C-0030) to exer­cise an option for 1,116 direct attack mov­ing tar­get weapons and appro­pri­ate ship­ping con­tain­ers and 640 hours of pro­duc­tion engi­neer­ing and logis­tics sup­port ser­vices. Work will be per­formed in St. Charles, Mo., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed in Feb­ru­ary 2013. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. The Naval Air Sys­tems Com­mand, Patux­ent Riv­er, Md., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc., Mar­tinez, Calif., is being award­ed $8,083,833 for firm-fixed-price task order 0010 under a pre­vi­ous­ly award­ed envi­ron­men­tal mul­ti­ple award con­tract (N62473-09-D-2608) for reme­di­al action Par­cel B (exclud­ing instal­la­tion restora­tion sites 7 and 18) at Hunters Point Ship­yard. The work to be per­formed pro­vides for imple­men­ta­tion of the rem­e­dy detailed in the reme­di­al design pack­age for Par­cel B. Work will be per­formed in San Fran­cis­co, Calif., and is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed by March 2014. Con­tract funds will not expire at the end of the cur­rent fis­cal year. Three pro­pos­als were received for this task order. The Naval Facil­i­ties Engi­neer­ing Com­mand, South­west, San Diego, Calif., is the con­tract­ing activity. 

AIR FORCE

Northrop Grum­man Space & Mis­sion Sys­tems Corp, Hern­don, Va., is being award­ed a $10,999,921, cost-plus-fixed-fee con­tract for pro­vid­ing tech­ni­cal and engi­neer­ing sup­port to oper­ate and main­tain Nation­al Air and Space Intel­li­gence Cen­ter data­bas­es, tools, dynam­ic web-based prod­ucts, and relat­ed sys­tems and capa­bil­i­ties. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is Fair­born, Ohio. Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed March 11, 2013. Air Force Research Laboratory/RIKE, Rome, N.Y., is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8750-09-C-0182–0022).

Park­er-Han­nifin Corp., Irvine Calif., is being award­ed a $7,498,669 firm-fixed-price con­tract for indef­i­nite-deliv­ery/in­def­i­nite-quan­ti­ty for upgrade, reman­u­fac­ture, and over­haul ser­vices of the C‑5 hydraulic kneel­ing motor at Hill Air Force Base. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is Kala­ma­zoo, Mich. Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed June 2017. 748 SCMG/PK, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, is the con­tract­ing activ­i­ty (FA8252-12-D-0003).

TAC Indus­tries, Inc., Spring­field, Ohio, is being award­ed a $6,511,278 firm-fixed-price require­ments con­tract for a best esti­mat­ed quan­ti­ty of 13,084 each year for net car­go tiedown-top nets, and a best esti­mat­ed quan­ti­ty of 23,903 each year for net car­go tiedown-side nets acquired by the WR-ALC/GRVK Sup­port Equip­ment and Vehi­cle Divi­sion at Robins Air Force Base, Ga. The loca­tion of the per­for­mance is TAC Indus­tries, Inc., Spring­field, Ohio. Work is expect­ed to be com­plet­ed March 11, 2013.
